Offensive Line?

I repent if this has been discussed in detail already.
I didn't see the game as I was in SDakota (of all places).
I couldn't bring myself to read the game thread (even though I can read).
With that disclaimer, what went wrong with the OLine yesterday?
No run blocking?
I thought they were supposed to be semi-great again!

I've said it before, Minnesota has a solid defensive line. Iowa get's bullied by anyone with a solid DLINE. But, that line is not progressing through the season as we would have thought. Solid game against average Washington.

Minny’s top dlineman was out yesterday too. Iowa kept trying to run between the tackles while Minny dline was slanting with linebackers scraping on the backside filling the interior holes. Iowa never adapted by running to the outside or running counters or misdirection enough. Iowa running backs weren’t looking for cut back lanes which were there a few times. The bye week killed their momentum.

Minny was bringing a couple Lbkrs fast to help their DTackles who are average. They also play one safety like a Lbkr so they had 8 guys in the box for most every snap by our offense. Hawks really didnt try to spread them out with 4 or 5 receivers clear across the field. Somewhat the same old thing 5 or 6 hawks blocking against 8.

Predictable play calling. On numerous series we would throw on first down, if the pass was incomplete, Lester always called a run on second. Every time we got stuffed.
