Is it safe to say we have disappeared in Florida recruiting? Every offer is all the sudden Georgia and Texas. ZERO new offers in Florida since Seiders exit.

I live in Fl and I mentioned in another post that some HS coaching types told me that WVU's profile was much lower this recruiting cycle. Not saying that is true. Not saying it isn't. Just sayin'.
Your correct. I just bought a home Florida 2 years ago and I always keep in the high school football around the state. It's not that kids don't like us, we are crazy well known here. It's just that we haven't made Florida a priority like we used to do. You get out, what you put in.
He's been gone what one month and Florida is over. Funny people here. Do you not know WVU has always gotten the leftovers from Florida.
Let's have the coaching staff spend all their time and energy trying to out recruit Florida, Miami, FSU and whatever major programs that recruit Florida consistently.
Then when that fails we can spend what time they have left trying to get the leftovers that UCF, USF and any other program that recruits Florida consistently.
Then at the end of the day they can land 3-4 Florida kids like they always do anyways but this way they wasted all their time and energy for something they already get.
Sounds like a winning formula to me!
People need to realize there are good players in other states besides Florida.
I mean it's not like people would complain if they didn't recruit Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, DC, North Carolina at a high level right?

Wow, bet a statement like this would certainly help Florida recruiting. Also, bet past WVU stars from Florida would love to know that they were "leftovers." lol
People of course there are great players all over. No one said there isn't. Please read. All I said was, is it safe to say we aren't really focused on Florida seeing we have not offered anyone NEW since Seider left(and we haven't). That's it. And it is a fact we are looking more at GA and TX because we have been throwing out offers left and right there and I love the GA recruiting.
If by leftovers you mean Tavon Austin, Steadman Bailey, Yodny Cajuste, Javon Durante I'll take the leftovers. We've had more underrated player come out of Florida and play well than the highly touted players out of Texas who have been a bust.

42 offers to FL atheletes. Read it, commit it to memory. The sky is not falling.
We have always competed against Florida schools for recruits but haven't done as good of a job of getting kids out of there in recent times for whatever reason.
WV must recruit the Florida athletes since ......... like Texas.....................they are one of the speed states. I think the other speed state is California but WV can't realistically go after the kids that hail from the Golden State.

I wonder how many offers we extend to Florida recruits on an average year. One things for sure the amount of commits has been down over the last couple of years for whatever reason.

Poor thing! You just wanted to say something negative about out coaching staff, you know, the guys who do the recruiting, and you got called on it. So, Seider leaves a couple of weeks ago, and we don't have our 43rd offer to a Florida recruit yet.

What are you talking about? I have never said anything about Dana having other job offers. Sounds as if you are one who adds 1 and 1 and gets 7. Read what is written and quit trying to read things into a statement that are not there and never intended. Since you have only been on this forum since halloween eve when am I supposed to have posted what you reference? Sounds like a very bad case of hallucinations to me.
