If someone is hired soon, they can still salvage a decent class. Still some top 300 kids who are waiting until February. Sabb kid from Jersey, Branch from PA (didnt sign with Auburn today, a BIG DT), Sam Gash WR from Michigan, etc.

Head to St frances in Baltimore and pick up a couple of their kids and throw out some calls to any remaining top 500 kids and let them know it will be a small class so they can get a bit more $$ and they can get a respectable 12 or so kid class then get the portal after spring ball.

I don't think I'm thqat concerned with the early signing day. They got two more than I thought and a QB. Nebraska got 10 recruits, no QBs. With a coach. Are they melting down?? Maybe they are! But schools have low recruiting years- this one is just really more.

Anyways, there will more guys out there who haven't signed, plus the portal.

Plus once any other coach leaves, their team's players can enter the portal as well as after spring ball, so lots of chances to get more kids

I wonder who is driving his recruitment?

It’s a good question; usually when coaches leave there is some effort by the retained staff to continue to sell kids on the school and other benefits (a coach will be hired, he will be good, you should give them a chance, it’s still Penn State, etc). Seems like zero of that occurred here. Just ‘ Go to VT - see you there soon!’.
