Sandy doesn’t have a bad record of hiring football coaches. She hired Tommy Bowden at Tulane and was smart enough to want Dick Rod as his replacement. The board wanted a Cajun so they hired Scelfo instead. Good guy probably wasn’t ready Sandy resigned because they didn’t take her recommendation
Neither did Cignetti and he took the best players with him to Indiana and left Chesney nothing and he has gone 20-5!
Iowa, Oregon, Northwestern, Indiana & UCLA could have all been wins with the right coaching. There is no debate about that
There isn't going to be a return to those days, IMO. It's too big to fail now. I would not expect a playoff run for the next 2 years but after that it could happen
That's histrionic. There is no way the roster is worse than Temple. We'll see who the coach is and if they can bring along some talent. The portal will need to be leveraged to a degree that we've never seen prior. Current players are gonna leave, no doubt. Sometimes that's not a bad thing. The recruiting class is pretty much a bust.
