By the handful. My only question is three of the close games are without the teams star player( Miller,Peterson and Brown jr( although Duke played great defense in the second half against Louisville). A lot of time left to improve .Pat played a really good game. Nice to see him bounce back against a grown a$$ man. Last year people were wanting us to play in close games to prepare us for March. Well, we’re getting them.
It’s no joke this year! It will completely take you out for 3-4 days!It turns out Caleb has the flu, which means the whole team will likely end up with it.
If Duke can’t beat Cal and Stanford good lord alot is wrongWin is a win. I’ll take it for a nice Saturday night to watch some hoops and playoffs.
Now onto the dreaded west coast trip
If this team gets hit with the flu, I will be shocked if we win both games on that West Coast trip. I'm in my 40s and traveling back and forth from east to west coast and back again whips my healthy ***, haha I can't imagine what it will do to someone with the flu.If Duke can’t beat Cal and Stanford good lord a lot is wrong
We have 100 employees at my store. Up to 16 and counting now with the flu. It's bad. It’s no joke this year! It will completely take you out for 3-4 days!
Your comment about “butt on pine” made me think about Bobby Knight talking about “butt meeting bench” and how that settles a lot of problems. LOLCayden filled in great. He can really help the team. Also glad Jon sat Ngongba. Hopefully his butt on pine sent the signal to play better.
Makes sense about Foster being out with the flu. It ain’t no joke this winter.
We weren’t “just shooting” them imo. Evans was on a heater and Cayden was shooting wide open shots. We have to shoot those to make the game easier for Cam. Just my imo. We're making them but I don't like how we're just shooting 3s this half. Couple from Cayden, couple from Evans and just got one from Cam.
77% not too bad as a teamFree throws again smh
77% not too bad as a team
Lol. I always like all you guys opinions. I believe that's what this board is for. As far as the free throws, it was when Sarr missed the front end of a one and one and then a couple minutes later Cam missed the front end of a one and one.We weren’t “just shooting” them imo. Evans was on a heater and Cayden was shooting wide open shots. We have to shoot those to make the game easier for Cam. Just my imo.
* Please don’t get butt hurt like Shey because I disagree with you.
Yep, FT % can be deceiving. I would like to see one and one percentage as well as percentage during the last 3 minutes. Missing the front end of two one and ones is missing on two possessions. That’s critical in closing minutes.Lol. I always like all you guys opinions. I believe that's what this board is for. As far as the free throws, it was when Sarr missed the front end of a one and one and then a couple minutes later Cam missed the front end of a one and one.
I’m not butt hurt at allWe weren’t “just shooting” them imo. Evans was on a heater and Cayden was shooting wide open shots. We have to shoot those to make the game easier for Cam. Just my imo.

I agree with what you’re saying about the three point shooting , Duke also needs more scoring inside to pull the double away from Cameron . If Foster and Cayden can continue to get into the lane that pulls the double off Cam.We weren’t “just shooting” them imo. Evans was on a heater and Cayden was shooting wide open shots. We have to shoot those to make the game easier for Cam. Just my imo.

I have to disagree about Jon screwing around with the starting lineup. I think he really got Pat’s attention with starting Brown. I’ve always been of the opinion that it’s not about who starts, but who finishes the game. Foster was sick, so I get starting Sarr.We may not beat SMU in Dallas if we have to play them again. Duke was outrebounded in this game, and that is a bad sign. Jon is till screwing around with starting lineups which is not good this late in the season. Nor is allowing opponents to shoot over 50% from field. I am still waiting for the defense to play an entire game. The good news is that, apart from Michigan, SMU may be the best team we have to play, including the Cheats. OFC
And Miller did not play .Duke was also at home and only won by seven . Like it or not it’s January . There is only going to be so much more tinkering Scheyer can do . I’m still with the rest that Duke will need one of Sarr or Khamenia to step up more .Per the Atlantic I read that the last 5 games our defensive rating (FG%) has gone from 1 to 307th. (Just counting the last 5 games) So while 15-1 is great, definitely things to improve upon.
True on both statements. We had a huge advantage at the free throw line. SMU went to the line 9 times, making 8, while Duke went 27, making 21. I'm not saying that's why we won, but it sure didn't hurt us. If the free throw shooting is close to even on a neutral court in March, we might take a season ending L. Before anyone says well we were more aggressive going to the basket than they were, or whatever, we shot 26 three's to their 14.I feel like we are dancing with the devil in these close games, somehow finding a way to win. A time will come when missed FT's and sloppy ball handling will cost us an ACC game or two, and I do expect that to happen. I just don't want to get bounced from NCAA's for these reasons.
4-0 in ACC play, nothing to sneeze about.
No more 3rd string center. We should be fine but you never know.
