Yes he does. It’s like it took us a while to get re acclimated. Beautiful use of the time out by Jon early in the 2nd half. The light bulb came on for the boys.
Almost as if Jon knows what he’s doing.
Love all these folks on TV saying we got gifted a win by the refs because of the free throws. Did they actually watch the game? Smh
Perfect example of how Duke can completely get screwed time and time with no consequences because of that narrative.
Pat clearly makes a big difference to this team. Especially in a physical game like this one. Sarr played great. Brown with nearly a double double. I did not watch the game; I had a long work week and took a nap. I saw some highlights. I'll watch the replay tonight it's better for my nerves.
Great finish those last 13 mins. Really need to clean up the sloppy play like we saw first 7 mins of the second half if we want to make a deep run.
I feel like we need to regroup over the next 5 days. We survived the first weekend. We must be better next weekend.

Been like that for decades. I'm still pissed off about the 04 title game. Then refs feel the need to show how "unbiased" they are by calling games one sided against us.
The officials have straight up cost Duke a couple more titles for sure.....
He was all smiles. Looks like he will be in the boot all week and I assume very little practice but oh well. We will need him pretty much full go for Friday. Notice how much better Maliq plays with Pat back? It’s night and day

Great last 15 minutes! We had several players that stepped up and made plays at crucial moments. We’ve got to get Cam going from the start. I wanted Jon to get on the refs too, but some of you made some ridiculous comments about him. He’s improved a helluva lot from year to year. We saw what happened to Dixon with his technical. It’s probably a good thing most of us are not coaching. We probably wouldn’t make it to the first tv timeout. Lol
To be fair, when you're at the games Jon says a lot that isn't captured on TV
Outside of an outlandish Jon comment here and there from a poster every once in a while, this board is always supporting Jon. It’s a fan forum so folks are allowed to voice their opinions.
I do think it was okay that Jon drew a little criticism for the Siena game, and portions of TCU but I don’t think a single person on this board would trade Jon for anyone in America.

I'm good with the continued success and him staying away.
They were smaller, we were bigger, we attacked more they didn’t, we were more disciplined on defense they were not. Crazy the difference has been in refiing going from the Acc into the tournament. I was expecting to see more of the letting the kids play. Not sure if that benefits us or not. Pat being back made a hell of a difference. He and boozer play great together . I don’t know what’s wrong with Evan’s. His shot looks awkwardly off like he trying to guide the ball lately . Anybody else notice that? I think we should beat SJ by double digits giving their lack of shooting from the outside . Our defense in my mind is not elite . Our rebounding is ELITE! Our defense is great, but we are always a little slow getting out to shooters on the outside and a good shooting team and a team getting hot could beat us, but SJs isnt and shouldn’t be that team.
I agree on Evans, Blue. I think he's underperforming and feeling the pressure of the big stage. He has not been shooting well from 3. When he's hitting the 3, we become a very difficult team to defend. I will say, I was happy to see him be aggressive and take the ball to the rim against VCU. He found ways to positively impact the game. Before this tourney is over, I think he wins us a game!
If the St John’s/Kansas game was a good indicator of St John’s, then I feel real good.
A lot of it depends on how physical the refs allow it to get especially on Carlos. Evans and Khamenia need to play with swag and knock down a few shots to keep the defense honest. Cayden needs to play like he’s been playing. Malik needs to avoid dumb fouls. We need him out there.

I think we should expect him to play. You know how information flies around, but I heard that the doctors that did his surgery said that once they got in there it wasn't as bad as they were thinking. Also that they made it "surgically bulletproof", or something to that effect.
If he does play tomorrow, then I’d say Duke has some pretty advanced care going on. Maybe they should start making the team's socks and shoes.

I think he plays too. If Foster can give us 15 solid spot minutes, that would be huge. His ball handling and experience against the pressure will be invaluable. I just hope Cayden keeps doing the great things he's been doing lately!
I would expect Foster to come off the bench for the next two games, at least.
I like the way you're talking. I'll not complain if Caleb comes off the bench on Sunday.
