Well, as a 4-seed our second-round game was going to be tough, regardless. Looking at some of the other four and five seeds I don't mind Baylor. UK is playing as well as anyone, Maryland is much scarier on paper than Baylor, a game against Iowa State could have been in the 120s, and Indiana isn't the same team we beat back in early December.
Of course Baylor isn't easy.....but what was everyone expecting? All things considered, I think we have a pretty good draw. That doesn't mean we're assured of being around a long time, though.

I know people think the east region is very tough. I can see that in respect to the 4 and 5 seeds. But I don't put much stock in the Big East teams.
I'm happy to be corrected by posters that watch the Big East, but I don't think Xavier is a tough 2 seed. If UNCheat can get by Indiana/Kentucky, then I think they have a shot at the whole thing. I put Kansas, OK, and a few others as having a better shot, but that's my impression.

Sooooo I gotta know, are there any other ULTRA HOMERS out there besides myself. I define myself as an ultra Homer because I literally in the past fifteen years or so (regardless of how good or "bad" our team was that season) haven't filled out a bracket that didn't have OUR DUKE BLUE DEVILS as the eventual National Champions. And you know what I strongly doubt I ever will, this year will be no different. Just can't bring myself to do it. Any others out there that do this?
As a four seed no less, jeez; in all seriousness, hope this isn't a repeat of what happened in the 2009-10 season, when Duke, with a roster of returning players that UNC fans thought would make nothing of themselves, ended up winning a 'ship. Obviously, this year it's UNC who returned just about everyone except Tokoto...I hope they exit by the sweet 16, but they could take it certainly.

With all the parity in college basketball, who knows what could happen. Duke is always the national champion in my eyes
, but like I said in an earlier post, I am concerned about a matchupWith Baylor in the second round with their front court depth. Hopefully Duke has hot shooting from the perimeter. If they can stay hot especially from behind the arc, then they can beat Baylor. I usually fill out multiple brackets with multiple scenarios. I will definitely have Duke winning the national championship in one of them.

I was just reading an article about us getting a 4 seed and in the article it said that this is just the 4th time under Coach K that we've gotten lower than a 3 seed.
This might be the weakest Championship I've seen in a long time. There is a lot of parity but there just isn't a dominant team that jumps out from top to bottom.
Do you guys think the most interesting man in the world will lose on purpose just to make this more interesting?

Honestly, you're in the weakest of the power conferences. There is no reason why a team with your talent should have had any more than maybe 2 losses in conference. Not our fault you didn't do more to get a higher seed.

Gottlieb was making anends to UNC on the Roy Retirement angle today IMO by taking a real swipe at Grayson...That rodeo is over now, but he dared to wave it in Duke's face knowing full well UNC would eat it up. K stood up for Grayson this week, and you can bet his reference to "Grayson's antics" won't help UNCW....
Yeah Dougie also called a. Duke team "remarkably unathletic" in 2010...They turned out pretty well...

Iowa State got a 4-seed. They have 11 losses. Cal is also a 4-seed. They have 10 losses. Besides, a school like Baylor isn't a good look for this Duke team.
There are no "great" teams this season. A lot of unexpected things are going to happen the next two weekends across the board. Just enjoy it and stop whining for more than two seconds. Life is better that way.
The easy bracket talk, while stupid, can be a little justified for me to see why they make the excuse (not justifying the "easy bracket" mantra, to be clear).
Duke in 10, 15, and this year, have a bracket full of up-and-comers and not household names. Look at our bracket: Baylor, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas A&M, etc... Of those four team listed, probably only one will be a top-3 seed next year, and one of them will probably not make the NCAAs...

Look at UK and Dukes opponents Kenpom rankings in the tourney last year. Lol, it wasn't close, and even though UK had the easier ride, they still went 38-oh.
Haha, a tounge in cheek compliment, I'm from Kentucky as well so I can say that. A large part of my friends/family are UK fans so I know how that state rolls haha...
Duke played a tougher regular season schedule than UK, then played a higher RPI team than UK EVERY SINGLE ROUND until the Final Four, and then Duke obviously had to play that same team that beat UK (with obviously much better results). These are facts. But stupid people believe what they want to believe.
Committee could put Warriors & Spurs in our bracket & people would still whine about Duke.
Yea me too! Born here raised here, live here. Know exactly how they are! Have family and friends that are diehard Kentucky fans and family and friends that are Louisville fans. Amidst all the bantering back and forth between UK and Louisville arguing, My family UK fans will throw a jab to me about Duke. Once the conversation about Duke and UK is finished, I'm very confused because I'm not sure if it's 2016 or 1992.
