I thought after the ND quarterfinal loss, we were definitely a 5 seed. A 4 seed in the West region with Oregon as the 1 seed (who all experts state is by far the weakest 1 seed) appears to be a blessing.

If we can get by Baylor (or if Yale can beat Baylor), than I really like our Sweet16/Elite8 Matchups.
Obviously, Baylor is an awful matchup for us due to there offensive rebounding and physicality, and that very well could be a 50/50 game. But if we get by Baylor, Oregon is a nice matchup if they make it. They are a guard-oriented team that likes to score alot of points, much like us.
Oklahoma doesnt scare me if somehow we were to meet them in the Elite8, they only play 6-7 guys also and it seems like all you have to do is hold Hield under 25....
I hate foreshadowing games, but the draw could have been much, much worse.

I think our draw is secondary to how we play. If we defend and rebound, we can beat anyone. Problem is, we haven't been consistent in either of those areas all season. It's time for Ingram/Matt/Grayson/Luke to get physical in the defensive paint and help out Plumlee and Chase who are doing their best. We can shock some teams, but we need to play both ends. Can't wait for Thursday!

Hey, we all have our advantages. Duke always gets the easiest bracket, while Kentucky plays every one of their "neutral" site games in front of 16,000 of the most obnoxious sports fans on earth.

In that regard, UNC and Kentucky deserve each other. It will be riveting to see which fanbase can boo loudest over each obvious foul that their team commits.

Unless the entire AP top 10 are seeded in Duke's region you pretty much are going to see the kind of rival posts you've seen.

I want you "typical Duke fans" to quit being biased and remember, when Duke loses early in the NCAA'S it's just a choke by K and his players and it's on them. When Duke goes to the Final Four and/or wins the National Championship, it had absolutely nothing to do with the coaches or players but instead it was all on the selection committee for lubing the way. That argument is real fair and open minded now isn't it?

I've posted on hoops boards for 19 years. I'm starting to see that I could be using such time to do better things in my life.
