Haven't had this much fun and felt this good during an NcaaT game in years and years....let alone 2 in a row
Who ever scouted for this game for UK was spot on. Even though each possession is gut wrenching, we were in control the 2nd half.
8m still going with mine because of the hair, the Mongoose Mormon.nickname for Chandler, Stormin Mormon ?
His And1 helped stim a run. He just kept missing those bunnies in that one segment. And the Illinois kept scoring. I just KNEW that was gonna be the missed shots we talked about after losing.
So glad to be so wrong.
So hopefully we will have Mongoose and Mountain Mamba next year
At least Butler gets a few days now to rest
I know I can’t wait to see the locker room of the team slapping Kentucky into the sweet 16!

Everyone did their job. Amari and Carr may not have played their best but we are a team and they all help get us wins.
and with 4 other players (carr, williams, perry and butler) who are banged up.
Kentucky was in total control the entire game. Remember Oweh had to sit the 1st Half.
Illinois is a putrid defensive team. It's one of the reasons I was confident the second I saw the bracket and minute the Xavier loss happened. Xavier would've been more physical and had some shot makers who play against tough defense all year. Illinois plays in Big Ten where there's not a lot of athleticism or quickness in the backcourts of teams.
This is a fantastic achievement by Coach Pope and when they are playing Sunday to go to the Final Four-he's proven he gets the ****ing assignment!
Oh man, one of the last shots Amari took and he shortarmed it.....AGAIN. I cussed so loud.
Well, tbf, he wasn't close enough to, so he had to shoot it, but it looked like a lame duck. Barely caught rim. It's like he's holding back and afraid he's gonna break something.
I haven’t been this excited with a win in 3-4 years!! Never expected cal to do much last few seasons
An amazing year would be to meet him in the Championship Game and win it all

I disagree with most all you said. He tends to pout and take plays off. Don’t say you haven’t seen it. He’s had some great games. Today wasn’t what I would call a great game for him. Not even close. He kept them in the game early with his missed layups.
SEC is operating a wood-shed today. Ole Miss is up double digits mid-way through the 1st. "Run it up Rebs....leave no doubts!"
And he finished the game with 2 fouls. Pope should have brought him back in the first half.
Yep, I know. But then he sat the entire rest of the half -- about 14 minutes, IIRC.
I still don’t think Carr played badly at all , he didn’t force any offense to come his way ( like Oweh ) he grabbed several 50:50 balls , rebounded , defended well , held his ground . I thought he had a good floor game , just not many points

Yeah I loved the hustle on the 50:50 balls today. We improved significantly on that …need to keep that up the rest of the way.
It seems like Carr just adds value in some way every game. If not points, it is rebounding or defense...maybe some slick passing or just straight hustle.
I thought Chandler also had some good contribution to the win and the bench overall spelled OO when he was relegated to the first half bench. To OO's credit, he played fearlessly in the second half after a ton of time on the pine.

Yeah Carr never gets discouraged …always tryin to help the team…whether it’s scoring or all the way down to hustling for loose balls
He just gives all he has every game.
If it’s not good it’s not because of effort.
But the healthier he gets the better we are.
