A lot of brackets just got destroyed.
Really though, there were no outstanding teams this year and everybody was calling for an insane Tournament this year. So this isn't a terrible surprise, rather a nice one!

Man, if we can just get it together and play some defense, this could be a big season for us. This one.
Can't we get some commentators that see the game like the fans do? I mean crap, at least mention the fact that the Iowa center pushed the Temple guy in the back with two extended arms. It's pathetic that we get this low level of commentary. I can't believe I'm saying this, but give me Walton and Van Gundy. At least they acknowledge reality. Verne is on Mars.

I've been sitting in a bar all afternoon and sucking on malty beverages. My observations (coming from a bit of a fog)....
-Syracuse played really well. Doesn't that always happen, though? The team who no one "thinks" should be there goes and destroys an opponent.
-Michigan State....wow. When they fell behind 15-2 all of us at the bar just assumed they'd make a big run, it'd be close at half, and then MSU would force their will on them. Still can't believe it, to be honest.
-Iowa got lucky. They did everything they could to give that game away. Everything. They're going to be a tough out for Nova.
-Maryland can be the really good team they looked like for 30 minutes today, or the team that inexplicitly implodes like the last 10 minutes.
From three of the first four sessions this is all I've gathered....its wide open and no team is safe at this point.

Ugly game. Isn't there some stat out there that Pitt is like 0-10 when they score under 65 this season? If so, they're going to need this one to go four OTs to have a chance.
Only if you get up after sliding. That was pointed out in one of the other games I watched. Which one? Who knows? They are all staring to blend together.
