It literally drives me to INSANITY
I really wish someone would ask him or Pope about this. It is so maddening.
He even clears out a little path for the driving player to score and bends down. If it wasn’t a ridiculous thought, I’d say he is intentionally letting them score. It’s that bad

no, he probably shouldn’t. but try to keep him off with his career ending and perry being in over his head.

it’s actually a tough choice, perry or injured butler. and butler wants to go. you make the call. what’s it gonna be?

Troy is a lot like A&M. They are both undersized. Despite that, both are great at getting offensive rebounds.

We did a fantastic job on the defensive glass. For the season, Troy gets a little over 38% of their misses. They got an offensive rebound on 13.6% of their chances in the first.

The offensive glass is definitely an area we haven't exploited. Troy is terrible on the defensive glass. While we are below average, getting 0 is far below what we should expect. It's hard to not get 1 or 2 just from a lucky bounce.
It's infuriating. It's that damn "tip" bound philosophy. I freaking hate it. The ONLY thing I miss from Cal. GRAB THE BALL WITH BOTH FREAKING HANDS

tell this to the “play the best players” crowd. there’s only one reason he can’t be strong with the ball, and only one reason he doesn’t play much. he’s frickin injured.
And he’s still a **** ton better than the other options, unfortunately.

I think we should of rolled the dice and let Butler heal this weekend a bit more. But can't blame a senior for wanting to play.

I still think we pull away and win by a comfortable margin.

But we can’t play a first half like this Sunday.

This looks like the Missouri game. We didn’t even show up then we did and ran them out.

This team is nowhere near as good as Missouri.

Amari's hoops IQ goes high-low-high-low-high-low and it never evens out . Maddening .. I like the young man , but he drives you crazy .. but less than Brea offering very little effort on the defensive end . Simply doesnt fight . But he's good to work hard on O .
At least his go high which I can't say the same for Garrison.

Only reason we have the lead at half against TROY - the champions of the mighty Sun Belt - is a 30 second burst of 2 threes and a miracle full court Amari dunk.
Other than that 30 seconds we played, scared, tense and nervous. Very haphazard and not at all prepared. Pope has got to throw the stupid analytics out the window on these constant lineup switches. Players going in and out so much it’s hard for the guys on the floor to even know who they’re playing with. Just nonsense subbing this many players this often. Compete nonsense
All this and still shooting 50% from the field.

I don't think we have the philosophy that amplifies offensive rebound ability nor do we have any with player the skill. Amari is ok at it. Carr, Garrison, and Almonor are quite bad on the offensive glass. They have been for their whole careers.
