How come Smith didn’t say ”It’s a meaningless bowl game, and we don’t give a sh|t” during his halftime interview?
If they’re going to continue to have bowl games, and they don’t have any impact on who wins the NC, quit having them in NYC. If they’re supposed to be a reward, play them where the games are warm.

The genius of it is this is supposed to be kind of like a punishment. The Jiffy Lube Bowl against Central Michigan would have been more of a punishment even if it is indoors. The whole team may have sat out for that one.
I have to say, watching the various meaningless bowls to date, it’s predictably but comically ludicrous how the zebras have kept the flags in their collective pockets.
I was watching the Pitt / ECU highlights and thinking even Annapolis would be better.

Youngsters need to realize it isn't high school any more and you can't constantly bounce outside looking for the home run. Find the hole and hit it for what its worth. Sometimes a great run is turning a 2 yard loss into no gain.

Living down the road from Annapolis I would have loved PSU to be here even though I dont believe they have a tie in with the BIG
I’m talking about the non CFP bowl games. Make them a reward, not freezing your a$$ off in a baseball stadium that leads to bad football.
I know, I know it’s not 1986, it’s players being paid, NIL, ETC ETC. HOWEVER…. I love me a bowl game with Penn State. My family is here, I have crock pots with food, we are yelling, cheering…. I love this…don’t give a rat’s behind if it’s not a playoff game. Have a good friend who is a Clemson fan and we are betting each other a coffee on this game. WE ARE!
The difference for me was about expectations. It seemed to me Allar did much worse than Grunk this year. Turns out their stats this year are nearly identical. But, Grunk didn’t get to feast on the first 3 games and Allar didn’t play the gauntlet. I think he’s done great considering the circumstances. Of course who knows what his ceiling is, but I really like what I see so far.
