And that would be a complete disaster for Franklin considering he guaranteed a playoff run in 2024/2025 to the Administration, and if not achieved then he would resign.
Then for the sake of the program, he should portal.

At this point are you more devastated by a State loss or Birds loss?

GO BIRDS!!
Interesting. For the longest of times, the Phillies and Penn St were must watch in my house. After the last two years, I realized that Penn State is/was my mistress and that my real love is the Phillies. I’m not upset with Penn St as I don’t expect them to beat Ohio St or Michigan. I still watch every game and follow the game thread religiously but it is what it is. They might catch lightning in a bottle once a decade but James will never get to being elite like he talked about years ago. They are who they are. I applaud and thank every young man who puts on the uni but do you hand on heart really expect them to beat the Big 2.

franklin's guarantees are as worthless as his game day coaching. Never trust a used car salesman.

It comes down to the size of the bodies along the line
We had a shot with our current roster. We weren't line trashed like last year. D over pursued, and lost gap containment at times. They weren't mauled. Did a fine job all things considered. Special teams was fine. O was meh. Still at the start of the 4th qtr still in the game. Couldn't get it done.

“O was meh” may be the understatement of the year.

That’s such a gutless promise.

“Once they let half of the ranked teams in, then we’ll make it. All we need is for the standards of excellence to be lowered.”

What makes this sting even more is the fact that Illinois, NW, and Iowa all won their games today so that would have been a giant step toward that 3-way tiebreaker.

Sure, 10-2 is a "good" season. But the larger issue here is lack of execution against the Big 2.

Our offense against both teams was just totally out of sync. Very frustraing to watch. D played well enough in both games to give us a change but the O **** the bed.
Well Franklin got his crybaby wish PSU doesn't have to play them both in the same year anymore. Crybaby-just get better and quit crying.
