Is it time to really really question MY in big games? Our offense really just does not score a lot of points week in and week out. I know everyone hates Cliff, but I just don't think MY calls good games against good competition.
I think you could question him in a lot of games. But I also think he's influenced by Franklin's obsession with explosive plays so rather than keep things basic (read: in a pouring rain against NW), he constantly tries to go for the splash plays. Harbaugh's game plan has been perfect -- keeping it basic and taking everything the defense has given them. When McCarthy goes back to pass, it's almost a godsend.

Jones and Ham, on the radio broadcast, are convinced that the offensive PI call against PSU on the play where Singleton got a 1st down was a blown call.
It was a blown call. As i pointed out in an earlier thread, 44 made contact while Clifford was still running. At that point, its a legal block. There was no contact when the ball was in the air

Mich just took 4 minutes off the clock. Like to know what the their average drive time is?

The Franklin era needs to end as well. Most major programs would have made a change by now, but Sandy nuked our program with a 10-year albatross of an extension.

We’re stuck in purgatory.
What is his buyout in year 1? I know that it drops every year...

Ball does not have to be in the air for offensive pass interference.

their offensive line is dominating us, their running backs can jump cut to homes whereas ours just go straight ahead..
I hate to say it, but Michigan is just better than PSU.

There's always next year, or the next year or the next year

Yeah, that's fair, but then he should leave honestly. We just suck at certain things, like short yardage. We never pitch the ball to the outside, run a RB screen, keep defenses off balance. We have been one of the very worst 3rd down conversion teams in the country for years. To compound everything, when things don't work on the first few series and we fall behind in a game, you can count on a slow developing QB draw followed by a few wasted fade routes that never had a chance.

This team will go 10-2, Mich will go 11-1, and tOSU will go 12-0
Franklin will manage 8-10 win seasons, a decent bowl and perpetual 3rd best in conference. As for "elite", not so sure. Franklin's teams always struggle with fundamentals.

Franklin's Post Game Press Conference: "Well obviously we didn't play well today, but that's not on me. I checked at halftime and PSU did deposit another $750,000 into my checking account today".

Day and Harbaugh compete against the SEC and they do alright.
How can anyone support this anymore? Stop the rationalizing please. This program is garbage after how many Franklin years? Stop the Covid crap, the great recruiter crap etc.
this is embarrassing and who we are. I need to accept it…it’s difficult. But we are nothing anymore than a middle of the pack has been. So disappointed
