I just read that Penn St s opponents in these first 10 games have had 34 penalties combined called against them....hellava bunch of disciplined teams...what a joke...
It's pretty bad. MSU should have been called for multiple holds, We should have been called for a delay of game on the last TD and I thought some of the ball spotting was kind of iffy.

During the Iowa USC game today the Hawkeyes were called for their first holding penalty all year. I m convinced that you have to literally rip a guys jersey off to get called for an infraction in this God awful conference

Outside of Dinkins yes. Reynolds has been pretty bad this year and he wasn't very good in this game.
That is another position group that we all penciled in as an "A" at the beginning of the season and they basically have not shown up and are totally overrated. How many catches do Dinkins, Reynolds and Rapp have total starting with the Oregon game? Warren totally bailed this team out last year. Without him we have 3 maybe 4 losses but certainly no playoff.

I was really expediting Dinkins to be more involved in the pass game. 🤷‍♂️

Winds were 15 to 20 mph yesterday in Lansing? What are you talking about?
I was on the road and only able to hear the first half on the radio. Steve and Jack both were questioning the decision not to kick the FG. This happened at the 2-min warning, so they had time to ask Cabinda (sideline reporter) too, and he was also saying he’d kick. No one mentioned the wind that I recall. 🤷‍♂️

In a season where there hasn't been a whole lot to get excited about, that drive that took nine minutes off the clock was perhaps not a thing of beauty, but "epic." No, Grunkemeyer isn't the 2nd coming of Kerry Collins, but he did with his feet what Kerry used to do with his arm - and he really looked like he was leading the team. And Kaytron Allen more than earned his pay today. OK, it's only Michigan State, but a win's a win. Oh, and I saw some very nice tackling by the D - hit the guy solid and wrap him up. The team played very well today. I hope they can keep this mojo going. Glad, too, for Terry Smith - he deserved this win.

What was funny was on the long play, suddenly all three receivers were open.

Grunk looks downfield. Allar did not. That at least loosens the LB’s from the LOS. He had few options on most of those pass plays. His protection was decent, just nowhere to go. On some plays he looked downfield a loooong time before giving up.

Grunk will be quite good, unless Hagans stays here.
Please stop. You are embarrassing yourself. Name one play where Grunk did anything other than run the ball after he broke the pocket or throw the ball away.

Allar looked downfield all the time. Many of his passes were as he was running. Did you ever watch him?

I am glad the team could put together 4 quarters and won. I am glad that Terry Smith won his first game as interim head coach. I am glad that the team has kept alive its chance to make a bowl game.
Here it comes; however, in beating Michigan State, Penn State won a game it was favored in. That’s no change from what happened most times under Coach Franklin.
So PSU is no better off than it was and the recruiting class is disintegrating.
I sure the hope the new hire is another Joe Pa.

Nope, we need a young offensive genius. The only way to succeed vs the bigger payrolls is superior O scheme. Honor/Degrees etc don’t mean anything.

PSU staff continues to play not to lose instead of playing to win. Today it worked out because MSU is a bad team.

50 runs, only 13 passes. Most of the pass attempts were after running on first and second down but still having more than 5 yds to go. That puts a lot of pressure on Grunk.
That's how they should play (minus the constant shotgun formation). It was beautiful.

Season is a success boys, we won "The land grant trophy", lol, not sure how many articles I saw leading into the game about that. Who gives a flying **** about this trophy.

Lol, has anything more meaningless being tried to slam down someone's throat! Big 10 has tried like crazy to make this some rivalry game since PSU doesn't truly have one in the Big.

You are correct. My bad. He looked downfield. He largely refused to throw anything past medium and mostly reverted to short.
