If he wants to play on Sundays, he has to make that catch.... as Parcels said, he does that at the next level, NFL will mean "not for long" for him.
Throws aren't all going to be perfect. That ball has to be caught.

Well, if the guy throwing the ball wants to play on Sundays, and his receiver is that wide open, he can’t throw it behind him or NFL will stand for…..

Yeah, it’s the typical situation where everyone expects the WRs to be Superman, and the QB gets away with poor play. Happened last year, too. Allar has to make a better throw there. Hudson would have made a 10.0 difficulty catch in order to make that play. Behind you (in 2 ways), when you didn’t have time to properly jump and adjust … your body control has to be superhuman to make that. And then you get hit in the arms while doing it.
Throwing from only 10-15 yards away with no pressure and 3 defenders closing on the receiver? It’d better be much closer to on the money or he won’t be playing very long.
Both can be true. The throw could/should have been better AND it should have been caught.
I’ve seen a lot of short throws that were off and the WR bails the QB out. It happens at all levels.
Look, it's a TD if receiver hangs onto ball and ball was placed where receiver got both hands on ball (receiver did not need to run anywhere to score TD - all he had to do was catch the ball that he got both of his hands on). The ONLY reason a TD was not scored there is because the receiver dropped a ball that he had both hands on. 100% of the blame for not scoring a TD there falls on the receiver - the qb put the ball in a place where receiver got both his hands on the ball in the endzone and dropped the ball. It is not the qb's fault a TD was not scored there and nobody in the NFL would view it as the QB's fault a TD was not scored.
His only miss of the day, I think, hit the guy in the hands--there's not a WR playing on Sundays that doesn't make that play

Doesn’t change the fact that that was a very poorly thrown ball and the receiver shouldn’t be blamed for the lack of catch.
Yes, and every starting pitcher says they should have stayed in every game and would have gotten the next guy out.
