I know it's bad form to quote your own post, but the game was moving quick when I responded. This BS at PSU came to prominence with the CJF era. This chump was beaten badly on that play and instead of going back to the huddle and thanking everyone who flushed the QB out of the pocket forcing an underthrow, he gets up, makes sure there's no flag which there probably should have been, and starts gloating. Everyone with a brain knew he got lucky and went "whew" when it was underthrown, yet he acted like he broke up a hail Mary in the Super Bowl. I doubt an OSU DB does that on a 2nd down play when they're smoking Rutgers 48-3 in the 4th Q. Not this guy, they are losing late and he's strutting when everyone knows he got lucky as hell. I really hope this ends with the next chapter in Penn State football.
Ironic you wanted to fire the coach who used to smoke Rutgers.

Were you impressed with another BGJ choke job against Oregon followed up by losses to UCLA (yes…0-5 UCLA!!!), and Northwestern (yes THAT Northwestern!!!)!!!???

Again, not a commentary on the future—a commentary on this year. As a reminder:

BGJ’s schedule (3-3, no power 4 wins)
Nevada
FIU
Villanova
Oregon
@ UCLA
Northwestern

Terry Smith’s schedule
@ Iowa
@ Ohio State
Indiana
@ Michigan State
Nebraksa
@ Rutgers

It’s even worse when you look at it this way. BGJ went 3-3 with only one away game against a winless team. Smalls went 3-3 with four away games.

BGJ coached one ranked team. Terry coached against the #1 and #2 teams in back to back weeks.

BGJ coached all of his 3-3 games with his starting QB. Terry coached all of his games with BGJ’s backup QB (who would have been 3rd string had Beau stayed).

BGJ coached a majority of his games with his starting LB’s. Terry coached all of his games with basically one viable LB.

It’s insane how everything we’ve been complaining about wasn’t imaginary. Terry just did some common sense coaching things and outcoached BGJ.

11-0 vs Rutgers with routine blowouts.

Big game terry made it a close game and almost lost. They won thanks to a defensive TD. I think you would call that a fluke like the OSU win.

The OSU blocked punt was not a fluke because they earned it by blocking the kick. Tonight’s play was just a dropped ball, that could be called a fluke.

Come on. That’s awfully hard on Allen. He’s a work horse. Not every back has that breakaway speed.
Not harsh. Just honest. Allen is great but does not have speed.

He is the #1. He is a workhorse but lacks speed. I think there were about 5 plays the last three weeks that were one step away from going for tds.

He broke two runs over 50 today...he may not have elite speed (doesn't) but he's plenty fast enough

Come on, be happy for Terry! BGJ wouldn’t have gone 3-3 the rest of the way with the schedule Terry had lol.

They were averaging about 10 yds per carry. When they run you want to pass and when they pass you want to run.
Nope. I just think you need to do a little better than 3 runs up the middle trying to run out the clock while the other team knows you’re going to run and stuffs the line. Totally different situation than the rest of the game.

My wife and I were at the game today. A few points:

1. Never in doubt. 😞

2. Great atmosphere. One of the best in the nation. BIRTHPLACE. o_O

3. I don’t understand the rutgres ”red team, pee stream” cheer.

4. Penn State’s defense made kadillacanus look like a Heisman winner much of the game. 😞

5. Easily the worst performance by a Penn State defense that I’ve witnessed. Denmark looked lost throughout the game. They couldn’t tackle, they couldn’t cover, they rarely pressured kadillacanus. 😞

6. Grunkemeyer is coming along nicely. After a 4th and 1 became a 4th and 6 due to a delay of game, forcing a punt (😞), Grunkemeyer showed fire by running up to various PSU players on the sideline and getting in their faces. I never saw that with Allar.

7. Some rutgres athletic supporters wore “F*CK PENN STATE” buttons. 🙄

We Are! 😞
