Haha. I still remember my mom losing her mind when Penn State beat ND in 1990. She actually ran out of the house cheering.
I lived out in the boonies at that time and I ran out into my backyard screaming and yelling. My brother and all my friends were ND fans, so it was extra special.

A Franklin coached team would immediately surrender a TD to open the 3rd. Maybe they play harder for Smith but we still have the Knowles factor to screw it all up.

Scoring from the 1 yard line vs OSU is a victory in itself. Weren’t we like 0-11 on last 11 plays from OSU 1?
Let’s be honest, if Franklin was still the coach, they would have called that Allen wasn’t in the end zone on that carry.

We scored more points than I thought we could but our issue is Knowles and the lousy defense. Ohio State will turn it on here. Saying is good but of course we make him look like Mahomes.

"This offense is the worst. Why, all you have to do is score a point and we're done."

Offense scores.

"I meant that this defense is the worst. Yeah, that's the ticket."

The homer b1g cheaters showing their stripes again - zero penalties on duhO$U.... and they don't call beyond obvious Intentional Grounding on duhO$U's 2nd scoring drive (claiming a receiver was in the area which is laughable as the receiver was running away from where the ball was thrown - running towards endzone and wasn't within 20 yards of where the ball was thrown). Just an utter joke of a non-call and frankly embarrassing the explanation they gave for no flag. Just a ridiculous non-call that effectively enabled the drive as it should have been a 15 yard loss on the play and would have been something like 2nd-&-25. Also, anyone else notice Smith's blatant pushoff on his first big catch on sideline which was a 3rd-down conversion? No flag.

The defense has been the problem this year. One stop away from winning every game we lost except maybe UCLA.
Eh ... the defense kept us in it when the offense was absolutely atrocious for most of the Oregon game. They finally broke at the end, but they were absolutely exhausted and had done way more than their part to get us to OT.

But it seems like they kind of never regained their will after breaking to end that game. Up until the ending of that game, they were absolutely nails and made it possible for us to overcome the sputtering offense in the early season games, and the non-existent offense through most of the Oregon game.

Geez, a bomb to Tate, and he takes it to the PSU 5.

smh

Appeared that PSU's D blitzed again, but didn't get close to Sayin. I'm not sure what happened in the secondary, but Tate was wide open. I think it was Elliot Washington in single coverage, and he must have bitten on a move, or something, as Tate got well past him.

PSU's D did really well on 1st & 2nd down, but tOSU runs it in on 3rd down.

TD, tOSU

With the PAT, it's 24-14, tOSU, with 12:18 left in the 3rd qtr

If we can't 3 and out them, this is better than an 8 minute drive. PSU needs more possessions and clock time to win this game. And another turnover or two.

Still have to make a stop when you need one to win the game.
