If the grounded pass to the Purdue TE was allowed to stand, I think this would have been a loss.
Yea, I agree. I really believe they made the correct call with the overturn but I was shocked they didn't call "play stands".

Of course, there were probably a half dozen plays for each team that if made/not made, the outcome would have been different.

So...

Tinsley...without a doubt...our #1 WR. Treat him like Dotson.

RBs put in a solid game. Upgrade from last year thus far.

I'm hoping Purdue goes 11-1 now. No Buckeyes, no Wolverines. No ND on the OOC slate. They were precisely what they were made out to be. AO'C is laser accurate. Thought we did well to keep him below his usual accuracy. If you told any of us we'd hold him to 50.8% and 1 TD, everyone would have been ecstatic.

Kudos to Charlie Jones too. I didn't expect that from him. He would have been a great add for us.

Game went to the wire. And we won.

Agree that the refs were correct to overturn it but just shows how close this game was. I'm really happy we escaped with the win. Certainly lots of room for improvement going forward on both sides of the ball.

Everyone is forgiven tonight. O'Connell is the real deal. Put a few back, call in sick, enjoy the win
Anyone tells me he throws for under 52% (usually 72%) on 60 tosses and I presume we kicked their asses.

I'll take it... we have plenty of talent but some of it needs to learn how to tackle (still). And I highly doubt our DB's get away with the stuff they were doing when we play osu, msu, and michigan.

Good for them though.. they didn't quit, they battled, they are undefeated. Reminds me a lot of last year's opener. Now... can we stay healthy?

Guys here (at my little get together) asked so I'll ask... arre both Singleton and Washington injured?

The TV viewing was horrible.. did they have the cameras placed a few miles away? I felt like i was in the upper deck half the time... well, we all did lol.

Tangentially related to the evaluation of recruiting class thread - Devyn Ford; did he have any touches at all? It's stunning that a high four star RB like him has been relegated to special teams. He was a Top 100 player and the fifth best RB in the country according to 247. I thought Singleton and Allen looked good; Singleton weirdly reminds me of Ki-Jana with the way he leans forward - he needs more carries IMO. Lee got a bit better throughout the game but he's still making bad lane choices. Would help a lot if these guys had some room to work with. Allar looks legit - hope he gets more PT next week.

All said, great game and fun to watch. Always take a road win in the B1G and Purdue was up for this game.

Ford caught a third down pass for a first down.

I believe he had a good catch and run to keep a drive alive in the first half.
