Finally a couple good looks at the 3 and they go down. So frustrating watching their D actually be good for once and the O being so bad early on with easy misses and turnovers.

South Carolina stinks might also be why our D looks good plus the refs not calling ticky tack fouls like they have all year against us which also hurts our D.

This is what happens when you play defense. It is obvious that Pope broke some furniture during half time of the Ole Miss game. Their defensive issues were all about want to. Too often, good offensive guys want to rest on defense.

Sure does look a lot different when you make shots our opponents have been making against us for a while.

Extremely physical game with no free throws, I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not considering we don’t make them

I think the refs not calling 3 or 4 fouls on D is why our D is doing well those 3 or 4 calls would have happened in the past games refs letting them play for once.

More effort and focus on defense. Offense will take care of itself. This team needs to lock in and play defense every possession

The biggest problem with this team is they're not strong enough with the ball. Two problems: 1. Butler is the only one with a tight enough handle to be aggressive against pressure defense. Everybody else struggles to keep possession, much less attack the defense. 2: our guys make way too many unforced turnovers... Amari committed 2 in just the last couple minutes

It’s definitely real. I also don’t buy the individual motivations part. Teams have film on us and are exploiting weaknesses. We do need to have more trust in running our stuff. But some wrinkles need to be added to it now. And frankly I think running more 1-3-1 would allow our guys to rest a little while being just as effective.
If you don't think players have individual motivations, then you know nothing about the human psych. Some coaches are better able to combat that than others.

It's a good thing as in past games we would have 5 or 6 fouls by now and SC would have about 7 FT"s why now

I know Pope gets a pass....but damn. He's not impressing me right now.
Gets a pass my ***. There’s no passes at UK. Especially considering we’ve done basically what all of Popes teams have done in the past.

that was Brea’s best defensive possession of the year.
