What rights are the Universities left with in these situations? It's time Penn State says this Ohio State game is a contest on OUR campus. It will be held at 8PM. Feel free to cover it or not.
Yeah like that’s gonna happen. You know the old saying: money talks and you know what walks.
For tens of millions of dollars a year, you give up that right. Espeically if the negotiating party is the conference which is getting you those tens of millions of dollars.
We might be able to do that if we have no interest in getting the tens of millions of dollars in TV revenue that comes along with selling these games. We got like 60ish million last season...seems like a sane idea to turn that down so that we can pick the starting time of one of our games.

Not that involved. Simply apply pressure/$$/tradeoffs to Fox to yield to NBC. Problem solved.
NFL/MLB teams trade draft picks, why can't networks trade tv slots? Fox carries hundreds of sporting events/year. They don't really give a s**t. Not saying NBC would, but who cares if you're getting Tosu at night - like we should be.

As long as you're willing to return the TV checks as well then I'm sure you can do that. If this is important to PSU what they need to do is inform the conference and get it baked into the TV contracts. Doubt they bother trying that, but it's the only option.

As reluctant as I am to get into a tussle with Bob and his dirty hands (latte foam? scone cream?), I wlll say that UDubs has gone so far as to call its live mascot "Dubs." They seem to lean into it more than Wisconsin, who I've seen referred to as the Badgers, Bucky, Sconnies, Wisky, Jr. Cheeseheads, Drunken Cheeseheads but never UDubs. Probably best known among our fanbase as "losers of the 2016 B1G Championship Game."Who is UDUBS.
