Officiating today was atrocious

I think we got beat one time on a straight line drive every other time. It was shoulder in the chest shoulder and the chest backing people down and then getting bailed out with a foul. Kentucky defense wasn't bad. The officiating was.
Oh my god, I can't believe someone could watch that and come to that conclusion. We got worked, it was an embarrassment defensively.

How many ASUN teams go into a Blue Bloods Arena and get handled with kids gloves. 30+ free throws is ridiculous. Can you imagine Duke getting this whistle on their floor
I did not have a problem with the officiating. It appears to me that the team is trying to embrace a more physical attitude and consequently fouling more.
I thought Bellarmine's rapid ball movement fatigued us a bit and when they drove to the basket, we were catching up and slow afoot.

What about that St John’s guy who was actually attacking our players. Running straight into them , pushing and falling down receiving 8 straight free throws. I can’t even explain our whistle and I’m tired of trying
The FT's were actually 15-0 before UK finally got to the line.

There was one dude who literally would get up under our bigs and put his arms up through our bigs arms under their pits and just kept going trying to flail his arms and it was a foul called every single time.

What do you mean? We just have somehow found the players who foul the most, for 15 straight years. We will somehow do the same thing next season.
A lot of ticky tack stuff but we got beat off the dribble so many times I lost count. We don’t move our feet and we foul with our body and hands.

There’s bad calls in every game that go against each team.

That game was no worse or better than any other.

We foul too much because we don’t guard properly.

On offense we play finesse ball so we don’t draw enough fouls.

Everyone in the basketball universe knew that Bellarmine was a donut hole team that shoots 3’s, layups and free throws.

Anyone would have prepared for that.

Except one guy.

That game was all about us. Not the officials.

I know we have the excuse of Christmas too.

So next time we schedule Bellarmine we should do it right before their Christmas 🎅

The BS call of the year was the guy TACKLING Oweh in the UNC game and it was a jump ball.

On our own floor. If that had happened in Phog a player would’ve been drug out back and nearly shot.

Here’s an archived Thread called “Jamie Luckie and Kentucky.” In a training video, he instructs other refs to “give the little guy more latitude.” He even says the Elon coach thanked him for being the difference between a 20 point loss to Duke and a 40 point loss (by the way, that year it was only a 13 point loss).
I wish they would just call games fairly!

I appreciate the comment, but I havent thought of the name Jamie Luckie in over a year. I threw up my eggs a little bit in my mouth after seeing his name mentioned. Thank GOD we don't go much much farther back and think of the names of myriad officials throughout history that have sucked and hated on Kentucky and screwed us out of so many games.

there's no explaining some of the incredible calls I have seenover asll these years other than to say "the fix is in" when some of the officials like Luckie are calling the game.

You can bet when it's one of those guys, kentucky is going to have to win the game by beating the other team AND 3 zebras regardless of how bad they suck calling the game. Officiating in the NCAA has been broken my entire lifetime.

nothing has changed. it's one of the glaring flaws in the game today.
