I'm not the type to bash officials. But how is it possible a team (MSU) can play an entire 3 quarters without a single penalty against.
TWO separate intentional grounding penalties not called. Absolutely brutal.

"Stop grasping for straws.... They've missed both ways."

I'm betting you thought at least one of those plays was intentional grounding too.

From my perspective at the game, the officials missed some blatant holding calls. I understood the no-call on the first intentional grounding, but the second one should absolutely have been called.

Big10 rarely calls holding. Refs are notorious for overlooking those calls

It did seem like the refs were kind of letting the players play the game tonight. Or maybe the teams are all just getting more disciplined about making less penalties. What did we have tonight, like one holding call on us? Two?

The second intentional grounding should've been called though.

I saw the holding on the sweep. It was Lewis. The OL had his whole arm around Lewis, keeping him from getting back inside to make the play.

One of the big MSU Qb plays you could actually see the RU defender arm get yanked down letting the QB make a backbreaking throw on 3rd and long. that drive resulted in a TD.

One blatant hold on that critical 3rd down pass play at end of game. Out in the open near where Cook was to release that pass.

the average fan might not notice a lot of the penalties mentioned above
,however the second intentional grounding was right there, out in the open..... my grandmother could see it and she was not there or watching on tv.

These officials accomplished something I never thought possible. They actually made the AAC officiating look good.

It would be great if someone could take parts of the game and make a rivals highlight type film of non-called penalties ... With circles and the missed calls ...WSU and MSU games ... Might cause a stir

If the offensive player's head is on the correct side, they won't call it

A more evenly called game, especially the holding by WSU and MSU O-lines may have had a effect on the game but in the end both teams beat us because their WRs made plays. Period.

I thought our DBs showed up tonight. There were no obviously blown coverages and they were on their guys tight. Credit a future 1st round draft pick in Conner and some great plays by the WRs and leave it at that. Save for one pretty decent WR on Indiana we are unlikely to see a repeat like that against them. I like our chances on the road for next week's game.

One thing I miss about Schiano was that he definitely would have given the refs an earful on failure to make calls. He was super aggressive about it (almost to the point of distraction).

I will throw something out there at this point...... there are a number of Penn state fans who believe that they never got a fair shake on calls on the field after they
became big 10 members...... of course all fans of all programs probably think they get screwed all the time..... but I have seen PU fans post this, and a good
number of them are so pissed in that regard they would rather be in the ACC if they had a choice

in basketball, I thought RU got the screw in big east .tourney games at the garden..... there was no way RU was going to get a critical call against St Johns, for example.....St Johns being one of the darlings of the league, RU the red headed step child.....I do believe this prejudice does exist, possibly the refs don't even realize it as it happens.

the way to have won last night, and in the future, is to make it so there is no doubt.... absolutely out play teams when stuff cannot be taken away from you.... tough to do for us right now..... and it is not fair that we have to endure non-calls on big 10 opponents that hurt our chances at winning..... but we might see a bit more of this.....

This. The last drive down near the RU 20 yard line in particular there was a clear holding on the outside edge by a MSU lineman and No Call.
B1G Officials making sure their top teams have their advantage when it counts.

I am not sure, but I think the officials were just getting paid to watch MSU on the RU PAT plays.
