Problem is Iowa likely doesn’t have a better option at quarterback.
And based on what I have seen, it’s not going to matter because Iowa’s defense is probably going to get shredded today. They are dropping 7 in coverage, and still leaving receivers wide open.
Iowa has to now pivot and figure out how to keep
This somewhat respectable. Not let it be 61-10 or something like that. Just play for clock and dignity. They are just woefully overmatched

Sec thinks the world revolves around them
Buffington got away with one there.
There just a tad early, and holding a tad bit

That was a huge stop
Held them to a FG, which is a win. But gonna need to get the ball in the endzone here at some point.
Massive stop. Need some kind of points on this possession again
C
Crowd noise doing some heavy lifting there.
Need to play a clean game from here on out. Way too many dumb mistakes.
You see minor touches like this all the time. Refs should know better than to reward that nonsense.
Lester is calling the plays3rd and 2, in 4-down territory and the ONE time Kirk doesn't run it .....
Tim Lester better throw out the kitchen sink with this next drive. Defense stood tall and gave us a chance.
Maybe. Hindsight is 20/20.
Receivers are getting open.
The other side of it is you are still going to have to put the ball in the air to score 6. Even if they pick up that first down running, you’re still going to have to have some success throwing. Otherwise, all you are accomplishing is making the field goal attempt shorter.
If Iowa can’t be balanced on offense today, they are going to most likely get walloped.
Especially when OSU is starting with really good field position EVERY possession so far.
Let's score here then make OSU at least start on the 25 in the NORTH endzone
Maybe the ref thought the nonsense was running full speed towards a returner well after multiple whistles had blown?
It’s a really dumb thing to do even if the returner moved into him and then flopped.
