OSU very well may get left out of playoff. Washington rolled over a ranked foe today. Clemson rolled today. Washington will have to beat a ranked foe (USC or Colorado) in the PAC 10 championship game. If they win, they're in ......... Penn State blew out a MSU team that OSU struggled with last week. If Penn State wins the big 10 title over Wisconsin you have to take them over OSU by virtue of winning the conference and winning head to head versus OSU. Bama is in. If Clemson wins ACC title they're in .

Good arguments.

Who knows what the committee will do though.

I was really hoping they would both lose the game though, guess that was a long shot. But two overtimes says neither one won very convincingly.

If Penn State wins big 10 and Washington wins PAC 10 then OSU is out. Mark it down. OSU has not passed the so called "eye test" the last 2 weeks. And remember the committee is not made of the amalyat like Herbstreit and Galloway .
I think Penn State winning the Big 10 is the most likely scenario that OSU is left out. However, I still think there is a chance they get in, even if Penn State wins next weekend.

OSU has three wins over teams currently ranked in the top seven (Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Michigan). How many other schools can match that resume? Their only loss was a very close night game, on the road in a very hostile environment, to a top 10 team in Penn State.

Penn State also has two pretty bad losses. They lost to Pitt early in the season and were blown out by Michigan.

It'll certainly be interesting to see what happens if Penn State wins. That will be the nightmare scenario for the selection committee.

OSU missed two easy fgs. Mich threw a pick six, another int that gave OSU great field position, and fumbled the snap inside the osu 5, yet Harbaugh is blaming the refs............
If you think he was a foot short, you have no business ever questioning another call.
BTW, I was pulling for Mich, I hate OSU!

Me too, still think Michigan is better than Clemson and Washington, but they had their shot on the field, and a win at Columbus or even earlier at Iowa and they would be in the playoff even with one loss.

They basically gave the Buckeyes two TDs by idiotic interceptions, but still should have won.

One call that I did not understand at all that Harbaugh went ballistic over was the 15 yard penalty on a screen pass where the penalty occurred well past the FD marker. I thought you gave the offensive team the FD, then marked off the 15 yards, meaning Michigan would have had 1st down, albeit way back from where the play ended. Instead, they marked it off 15 yards from spot of foul, made it 3rd and long, and OSU held. Was a HUGE swing play right there.

P.S. According to Phil Steele's preseason lineup, OSU has a potential of something like TWENTY starters returning, assuming no one turns pro. They could be just sick next year.
