Mo not being on the team has a ton to do with integrity but not in the direction you are hoping. What very strict guideline do you think had to be followed to keep Mo? You speak of facts but you don't have any. Give some specific examples with proof. Saying something doesn't make it real even if it is repeated thousands of times. The only fact I can state is this program is in decline and there are other programs on the rise. There is no way to know if a new captain would right the ship, but staying with the one who took the ship off course doesn't seem too bright. I like your loyalty because that is a strong quality in any human, but it isn't a matter of lack of loyalty that leads many people to want a change in leadership. I believe it is loyalty to the program over loyalty to the coaches that drives this train.

I think those teams just understand the guidelines, and operate better in them. We all love wrestling, but it is a non revenue sport with a very niche following. Even at Penn State. The NCAA and Athletic departments may turn a blind eye when it comes to Football, but I don't believe so with wrestling. No AD is going to risk having their school running afoul of the NCAA for a non revenue sport like wrestling. This is almost like recruiting, and development. Other teams have adjusted to the times, and have worked hard to stay on top of both. Iowa just seems to be way behind the times. The NCAA rules are there for everyone. How can you fault a program for putting in the work, and finding the best way to operate within those guidelines?

I was not going to go here, but because all the excuses thing keeps being played I feel I must. Why did we lose Bo Bassett and Why is Endene not on the team? The answer is a combination of money and rules for both, Iowa has the money but they also follow very strict guidelines with impunity. One of the reasons I am such a big fan, integrity has value!

I do believe other schools have very high standards and integrity also, but I also know for certain there are those that do not. The ones that do not most likely would not have lost Bo or Endene.

Just so we are square around here, rules are broken fact, money is power fact, just like most forms of government the NCAA is corrupt FACT.
When more people wake up and smell the cow **** they will understand these are not excuses they are facts.
Is it an excuse when I say "I pay way to much in taxes because there is corruption in government that steals our hard earned tax dollars" No its a fact!!!

While I don't agree with either of them (or anybody) all the time, whether on substance or approach, I'm glad both are here. Knowledgeable input, better than many on here. Little room for error tonight. Going to need Block and Williams, Voinivichs can wrestle Sunday. The only route I see is a need to take 4 of 5 toss ups, big task on the road. And may need Keuter pull off an upset. Ayala, Block, Williams, Kenedy and Gabe. Should be secure with a win from Cali and possible bonus to offset their bonus points.
