Maybe not as much as it could. UK wasn't recruiting McKneely, but TN was. I didn't relish the idea of TN having Gillespie and McKneely as their backcourt. I thought they would compliment each other pretty good.

I've been real critical/busting ballz in regards, but this is more a case of Louisville having stupid NIL money and being able to throw it at available players that care about only money.
McNeely will be a 6th man at Louisville and definitely could have started someone else. He obviously is about nothing but that bag.

Louisville is overpaying for these dudes because, like I said, they can and frankly they feel they have to in order to be able to compete with Duke in the ACC.
There are still a lot of potential big booms left to come in the portal, and definitely some nice medium size booms that could definitely help a teams like Kentucky / Tennessee.
Using both as examples, both of us ended up having pretty good teams despite not being at the top of the NIL in terms of money last year.
Problem for both of us was we ended up having injured players that set us back. If not for that, I guarantee things would have turned out a little better for both.

As I said so far we lost 1 to the portal and 6 who are out of eligibility and have 5 newcomers so far and will probably keep a couple walk-ons. Probably looking at 1-2 more portal adds depending on what Ament does unless we lose others to the portal.
It is April freaking 4th. We have no idea who else is entering the portal in the coming weeks.

That’s a good roster. I think UL is going to be one of the top dogs in ACC next year.
From where they started yeah pretty phenomenal and the way he is trending this portal season they will be much improved.

UL is going to have a really good squad. McNeely will definitely start and Brown is a very very good freshman. Kasean Pryor coming back is key though.
