Ok, Mazey. This is year 5 and you're losing games to Canisius

These are your players and you're losing to teams you should NEVER lose to. We're being outclassed again today. 1-0 Canisius

Did Mazey cut you from the team or something? You seem bitter [laughing]
I give you a 3 out of 10 on trolling.

He is an improvement of 1000 times over Van Bunts, but we're starting to plateau at not being quite good enough for a postseason and losing games to **** squads that we have no business losing to.

You have a valid argument. I agree 99.9%. At munimum I thought The Mountaineer Baseball team would be a lot more competitive, even though Big XII baseball is damn good ball. New ballpark/facilities finally using all available scholarships(more talent) being used now. Its kinda irritating losing to Canisius.

Team lost today by like 9-0. Absolutely awful, and 2nd straight loss to Canisus

I knew team would be a down year last year due to losing a lot of key veteran pitchers and some solid hitters. But I had high expectations this year. Team got off to a hot start and now are barely .500 if they still are. I haven't looked at W-L but a sweep to TCU, loss to Penn State, and now 2 straight losses to Canisus has to be putting them around .500 mark

Isn't this just about the youngest team Mazey has fielded?
I'm not sure. But I think that a lot of players moved on both last year and the year before.

This Mountaineer Baseball team is very young. This season is definitely a rebuild/development kinda season.

The roster breakdown by class:
R-Fr. 1
Fr. 14
Jr. 6
So. 9
Sr. 4

Hopefully the team can progress as the season plays out. I sure we will see a lot of growing pains.

Mazey is a million times better than any baseball coach we've had, plus we are playing a Big 12 schedule. You are going to lose baseball games...the trajectory of the program is what is important and we are moving up the totem pole.

At least we got a fancy and expensive new ball park to get our asses kicked in by the likes of Canisius. So we got that goin for us.....right?

I don't follow WVU baseball as much as WVU football and basketball but when did Canisius become a Big12 team?

He was hired in 2012.

I would agree that we are improving but not where it matters (in wins). Improving teams also don't lose to MAAC teams 9-0. We are still in rebuild mode when it is fully his players now.

Fully his team indeed. 14 freshmen and only 4 seniors on the team. Takes time to develop a team thats this young, not going to happen overnight.
