Been dying the past month++ with unbelievable congestion/sneezing.....been thru the allergy shot routine already to no avail....OTC stuff does not work unfortunately

Apparently it has to do with crappy immune system where grass/dust/pollen is concerned

Anybody who has found a remedy please pass it along!

Thanks!!

My wife takes Stahist which had sudafed and some other antihistamine that I had never heard of. Seems to work well for her.

Move to the desert. That will help for a while, but you'll eventually find out that you are allergic to something there.

Maybe move to the moon.

When you say OTC stuff doesn't work for you, are you referring to antihistamines or to the steroid nasal sprays, which became OTC over the last couple of years?

Steroid nasal sprays PLUS an antihistamine usually work well together.

If that's still not getting it done, consider saline irrigation with NeilMed sinus rinse:

I feel for you. I am currently dealing with a sinus infection. Felt like I was in a sauna on the outside with ice water being pumped through my veins the past couple days. How can you be burning hot and freezing at the same time? Now trying to deal with coughing and headaches to go with the congestion and sneezing I started with.

My son does the shots and has been for almost 2 years. Heals up faster than he used to when the allergies kick in. It used to take over a week for him to get better but now it is only a couple days. He does take all day sinus pills daily as well and has an inhaler.

I would like to try the move to a different area method of healing, but it is to hard to pack up and move at this point in our lives. So we are pretty much stuck dealing with the crappy Ohio Valley allergy issues. I believe it is at least the 3rd worst place to live in the country for allergy sufferers.

My daughter suffers from allergies. The thing that has helped her the most was putting a Hepa Filter in her bedroom. Around $35 at Walmart. Its not a cure all, but she has improved a bunch.

Try eating a spoonful of honey grown from round your area "a day". If that doesn't work, give willy4uk's remedy a shot

I combine OTC Clariton in the mornings with prescription Singulair in the evenings.

It has helped immensely; i am a life long allergy sufferer.

Over the counter/generic version of Clariten in the morning and Singulair (need prescription) at night...works for me.

I have bad allergies too op. Same as what you describe except benedryl works for me. Take Zyrtec and benedryl together and they work well.

That's exactly what I do. Works well enough.

The problem is we live in places with crap we're allergic to. Cavemen and Neanderthals would've just up and moved if breathing the air makes them miserable. Be a nomad, no allergies.

That crap is truly addictive.

When I first started flying a lot for work ears would clog and my sinus' would go nuts.

I would take two sudafed and a good snort afrin in each nostril 15 minutes before boarding.

I could breathe like a bull moose...for hours.

Worse than crack for a severe allergy sufferer. I had to step away from the spray before it got too late.

If you want to reset your immune system try fasting. (read up on that) (It takes at least three days)

I just did a three day fast (But for another reason)

I posted one link but there are a lot more. Yep, taking meds will do it if you find the right one. It takes some serious will-power but it is worth a try!

That's a really impressive example of mentioning a small study and then making all sorts of assertions and conclusions that aren't actually found in the study.

I love the internet.
