Okay, I’ll ask as I cannot find Bartlett’s post…where is it?

My son sent it to me as it was posted on X and showed it was from Penn State Forums Wrestling Room.
I don’t see it on here.
What’s this all about? And, apologies that im late to the story.

He posted on the Rival forum under the World Team trials thread.

his wife has been adding things in Mineo’s FB group. Though adding is not the best descriptor. She isn’t really giving many details.

Long story short..
1. after WTT. Beau's wife makes IG comment saying "glad good guy won" after Dake beat Cstarr
2. A few posters mention it on PSU forum
3. Beau pops on forum defending wife and says family off limits, but also makes some vague references about him and others being bullied (all very vague)
4. Beau on his way to NYRTC

Man I just went and read his post.

Nothing but love for him, if he was bullied and/or made to feel uncomfortable (beyond the "go to an uncomfortable place to grow" and instead it got personal), I will be first in line to back him or anyone. Everyone has a line in the sand, and I know I have personally gone too far in many relationships.

What I still don't understand is how his wife's post, and the subsequent questioning/pointing out (including me), became what seems to be a breaking point. I condone zero bullying and harassment. But that's not what happened here at all. She put it out on Social, in a public account, and it was certainly a surprising to me. That was the story, that she publicly backhanded an all timer (and if he was an idiot to her/him, more power to her, but it's still a story and she had to understand that).

Anybody want to join me in reserving judgment? I’m an only child (that explains a lot, right?) so I’m okay going alone.

I'm all in.

So far, we've heard veiled accusations and innuendos from only one side. Enough to get one's attention, but far short of reaching a verdict, or even speculation.

One of the things Beau complained about was anonymous people sniping at his wife and their marriage.

A couple posts on HVI fit that description. There was no justification for taking sarcastic swipes at their marriage, or for dismissing her for things that have nothing to do with wrestling.

Ultimately his post won't change how he's thought of.

His marriage is off limits. Completely. Her social media and his post are not. I thought they took the low road on the way out of town, and it felt like a final zinger against a perceived enemy before they unplugged from PSU.

Hate to get personal, I apologize if I offend anyone, but maybe Beau married a Meghan Merkel

There were some comments about her post on social media, which didn't seem out of line.

One poster was dismissive of her because of something in her bio. That was a personal attack, not a critique, unnecessary, and I can see why Beau would not be happy about it. Still, I wouldn't have posted what he did -- if you think someone was a jackass, they're not going to suddenly not be a jackass, so what's the point?

Is their marriage still completely off limits?
The marriage, absolutely. The person, no. I sense some narcissism there. I married one. Way too much social activity to be supportive of her spouse versus being supportive of herself. I feel like she is straying strongly into the later. No need for all that posting if only in support of a spouse. Say your peace once and move on. Anything more becomes about yourself.

I’m not offended, but I think this is the type of thing that set Beau off to begin with.
Whatever she’s done or profited from isn’t any of my business. I’m just hoping there isn’t actually a can of worms to be opened here. Can’t wrap my head around that being the case.

There were a couple of jokes about how getting married before WTT affected his performance there. Nothing more than one-liners. Beau apparently didn’t think that was funny.

Well, just like Corby before, she has a platform to share with the world any can of worms she’d like. If she’s choosing not, she’s not free from derision for being cryptic.

Just seems like she’s, and maybe Beau as well, mad that people noticed the things she puts out freely on social.
If I had to bet I’d bet Beau has no issue with any of it, she got hurt that she took heat, got in his ear, and he defended her as best he could.

Whenever someone wants to spill the insider knowledge they can either put it all out in the light and let the chips fall where they do, or they can be vague and cryptic and take the heat that comes from it. Either way, once you start publicly posting dirty laundry you can't sit there and expect everyone to clap and tell you how brave you are. You have to accept that you take the good with the bad and if you can't, don't start.

What I said I knew was gonna be in the media in the next day or 2 so I was gonna let the facts play out there and was just letting people know some news was coming. I doubt this hits the media anytime soon with facts

Corby I understand the difference.

The similarities arise in that, if there is something to share, share it or don't. I understand she is his wife and you are a journalist/personality, big difference there as well. No one hands out cred on a "I know something but I can't share it with you".

Were you afraid we would miss the news if you didn't give a heads up?

No I knew it happened and it would leak soon so I let people know. Many people post things they know before they become public. Not sure why that one got people so upset. If someone else posted that not a word would be said . But since it was me and "I'm a Iowa fan" I had to do it because of that. People need to understand I'm a wrestling guy not a fan of a team
