Texas is not for everyone but the University and State are great. Johnson is a good name but he’s kinda lost his way. A fish out of water in Texas no? I played with a lot of guys that played at Penn St. He’s respected in the NE.

OU would have to change their ways to be in the SEC and so would every Big 12 team. This is not the old Big 12 back when Texas and OU played defense and pro style football like the SEC does. This conference now lives and dies by the hair raid. Mike Bleech set the trend and everyone followed suit even Texas. We have all these young offensive coaches who dont give a crap about defense. Every game is a shootout in the Bg12 and it has more to do with which offense is clicking better than it does which defense is going to actually make some stops. That would not fly in the SEC because they have defenses that can slow down the stupid air raid and the Big 12 defenses simply cannot compete going against real complete teams like the SEC has. OU had no chance in that game and anyone who thought they did doesnt pay much attention. Lincoln Riley is not a good HC hes an OC. If he was a good HC he would use OU's status to lure in good D coaches and good D players. Same thing with Texas. They stopped playing defense and look at them now. They suck. They have a roster full of 4 and 5 star guys but they cant stop anyone.

I dont like the Big 12 and would love to get out of it. We needed it at the time, but the travel and everything else just isnt worth it anymore and we should split to the ACC if the chance ever comes up.

On a side note this is one of the things I really like about Neal Brown. Enter Vic Koenning. We havent had a DC with his type of resume since Dunlap had a slew of really good defenses in the 90s. Neal Brown gets it. He is putting as much effort in building up a legit defense as he is offense and for that we could be the next trendsetter in the sinking Big 12. We've had good enough offense to win the conference but when you average 42 points per game and give up 42.5 then wtf lol. We didnt have much to cheer for out there in a transition/rebuilding year, but the defense played harder than Ive seen since Nehlen days. This is what we need and its what the lame *** Big 12 needs.
