One area of concern I'm hearing this spring from an observer, is that the OL is getting worked over repeatedly by the 2 deep DL. If our DL is unstoppable, this concern may be overblown.

Remind me how many All B1G players we had on our DL two deep? IF this is true and just a passing comment, how does one expect the results we have all been looking for from the OL for the last four years. I guess some can still say, but we are still really young.

Don't think you can interpret any information from the Spring practices because the OL is always the last thing to gel on the team. So I wouldn't expect much from them until after Fall Camp. Now if the Defense was getting owned by the OL in the Spring, that would be a sign of trouble.

Hopefully there are some 1 vs 1 in spring game so we can see those matchups. I would personally be very surprised to see that.

This is very true and traditionally the case. D should be ahead of O. But I don't know what to believe anymore. Waiting for that aha breakout moment

Not really surprising. Even Cam going up against DD is not a very good matchup for him. If anything it does solidify that our defense should be extremely good this year.

I respect your point because its a valid question. But defensive all conference selections are statistically driven. In Nebraska's scheme, their defensive linemen are never going to put up gaudy numbers.

Perhaps another way to look at this is using a comparable view around the Big Ten West. Ty Robinson, Damion Daniels, Casey Rogers, and Ben Stille could all start for Wisconsin, Iowa, and Northwestern.

Going into 2021, Nebraska actually has a deeper, more talented, and more experienced defensive line than all three of those programs at the same time. That literally has never happened since the Huskers came into the Big Ten.

Two young AA tackles are still young in a league known for solid DL play.
Sichterman leading the way at OG and a relatively young Piper on the other side...

I don’t know yet what level we can expect from them when we play league games.
Probably a relatively high ceiling, but still need to temper expectations a bit.

It’s good they’re cutting their teeth up against a solid DL in practice.

This is shocking considering this is the 15th year in a row that we are expected to have our best offensive line in ages.

and the 16th in a row that it will be young
.

To many talented athletes and way to much depth not be be able to find 5 dudes that can play. This isn't 2019 where we literally have two game ready big ten lineman and we won't have Freshman going through growing pains in 2021 to start the season.

I am highly confident this group will be better than 2018 or above big ten average. If there was a clear way to measure and I had even odds I would bet on it without hesitation. We already saw what this group could do against bad defenses as the Freshman matured and played well against Rutgers. My only questions is how much drop off do we see against more physically stout (mature) defenses like Iowa and Wisconsin.
