Old Fashioned

Anyone have a good recipe for an old fashioned? I love red wine but I’m looking for a drink to sip.

There's not much difference in most recipes. The first below is from Cocktail Codex, and the second is from The Bar Book. I generally use the first recipe if for no other reason than to use up my box of sugar cubes.
