Sounds like UK maybe in the running. Not sure he would be interested in Duke. I feel he would probably need to sit a year if he did want to come to Duke and will Duke try to get him. Right now I would say the chances are slim but I'd take him. OFC

If we didn’t get Tapé i think K gives him a look but i doubt K goes after him out of respect for Patrick. Plus that’s be a really crowded front court. Tapé, Williams, Hurt, and Coleman already and then Sarr would want at least 20 minutes a game. Just isn’t going to work. Unless Tapé wants to decommit again....

This guy is gonna make anyone an instant contender. He hung 25 on us. Sucks for Wake though.

Unless he finds a way to play for pay, I think he most likely stays at Wake once he really gets to know the new coach.

I’d agree if he had multiple years left but he only has one year left. Pretty much the whole wake team has entered the transfer portal. I totally understand why he would want to be on a at least a halfway decent team his last year of college ball. Their new coach is great but he’s not going to turn the program around in a snap of a finger. Theyre still going to suck next year.

I was reading Rupp's Rafters (I don't comment on there but the board is very active and a good place for info if you can ignore the shots at K and Duke) and the board is split on whether they will get him. For one the new Wake coach is really trying to keep him. Secondly he has said he liked the small campus at Wake and has made some comment about the Kentucky fans and their intensity; so he may not want that pressure. If he does go to Kentucky he would be a great fit with their young wings. While I do think he would be a nice fit for us I doubt he comes here. He is an upgrade over Tape/Williams but that would be recruiting over the both of them in a bad way.

This reminds me of the time we were trying to get John Riek. Just wasn't meant to be. OFC

The rumor is that Wake waited til after the NBA deadline (or the day before so Sarr couldn't get his paperwork in) so he may get a waiver. But who knows.

This one burns. UK really needed a big man, and they got a really talented one. He averaged 13 and 9 last year on a bad Wake team.

One could say his stats are great because he was on a bad team, however he had his biggest games against the best teams, so I do think he is for real.

Duke apparently did reach out weeks ago to see if there was any interest.....

I think it's a good move for Saar. He'll be able to showcase his skills at a blue blood school, and he really fits a need for Kentucky. After all, it's all about preparing for a career when you're a senior in college.

Kentucky is hoping to get another big as well. They will be a dangerous team is Sarr gets the waiver.
