Olympic laying an egg. A big one. 2nd round playoff game now qualifies for a running clock in the first half. Soft schedule biting them hard tonight. There are some big dogs in 4A. Olympic is not one of them.

Both. Olympic's weak conference/ schedule hid a lot of shortcomings.

Olympic might be the worst undefeated team that I’ve ever seen - not to mention that they play very weak conference schedule (I understand, it’s out of their control) and then get exposed quickly when things get real against actual competition. They need to step up their non-conference schedule moving forward.

Olympic Non-Conference Schedule - East Meck, Rocky River, Sun Valley, and Hopewell. No disrespect to these teams…but these do not get you ready to take on the likes of Chambers, Hough, Mallard Creek, etc.

Indy played three of those teams as well… but did have three playoff teams in non conf

Well --- guess we just figured out how bad a schedule Olympic played. This is halftime. Also shows how much better Indy, Butler and Catholic are than you might think. Still believe The Creek, Hough and Chambers are the cream of the crop in NC.

New Bern had a running clock against 13-0 Hoggard in the East Final back in 2014. 42-0 at half.

I have only watched the teams on line. No in person which makes a difference to me.

Looking at the bracket and you can see it is a tough road in the 4A West. Will need to beat the winner of CC v Grimsley. Winner then gets the the team that comes out of Hough v MC and Tabor v EF. Indy may have had it easy so far but the next two games are going to be full throttle battles. I think they can get to the fourth round. I think from here through round four teams will need to play their A game in the west. The team that wins that will earn it, be well tested, and most likely beat up.

One thing I noticed watching the game was the difference in speed. Olympic who I thought would compete at least offensively couldn’t match Indy’s speed. I expected a shootout but Indy’s defense came to play.
