That video is hilarious

I would pay good money to hear the phone calls each driver had to make to wherever they were going saying they’d be late because …
We had a similar sinkhole in the backyard of a house we sold near that caused by the city’s improperly backfilled sewer line back in the 80s. I spent several thousand dollars repairing THEIR sewer line and hauled multiple pickup loads of dirt to fill it. Had to wheelbarrow it all to the backyard. Finally I think got it satisfactorily filled 6 months before we put the house on the market. Pain in the butt.

I think a "sinkhole" was the person you married?

I didn't know it could also be something on the roads...

Omaha says it’s MUD’s fault
MUD says it Omaha’s fault
Maybe it will eventually go to court
Omaha’s infrastructure is a mess. They haven’t done nearly enough. I think we have a ticking time bomb of crumbling sewer and water lines in most of our cities. Some well run municipalities are addressing it aggressively by scheduled replacement of whole sections of them before they fail. The issue is the necessity to tear up streets for lengthy periods of time disrupting neighborhoods and businesses.

MUD is doing a bunch of water lines around the city now. They “probably” broke my mom’s sewer line while boring in a new water line but I can’t prove it was them so she gets to pay for the repair.

My sister had her sewer line destroyed in a similar manner in Joplin Missouri. She didn’t discover it until sewage backed up in to her house during COVID. City wouldn’t even look at it. Thank God I found a saint of a plumber by phone who did the work for her without any deposit. He was pissed at the local government saying they were all staying home because they were lazy. Great guy. Probably didn’t charge me enough.
