Seems just like standard political corruption stuff. Somebody is corrupt, others want him removed, he doesn't want to be removed so he is creating chaos and using an means necessary to consolidate power including having adversaries removed from positions of power. Sounds a lot like Washington D.C.
An authoritarian-wanna-be vs a possibly corrupt old-guard? Which begs the question of what kind of oversight exists for an Indian tribe that might ultimately need some kind of outside intervention.
It is an unfortunate overall situation for the tribe. Seems a level of mismanagement, possibly a little corruption, 69% unemployment, and all the normal social issues that accompany that.
But, sitting right on top of the Reservation is the Winnebago Reservation, which is the model of prosperity that every Reservation should find a way to follow.
As well as every little Small Town in America.
Driving through both last year, there is a stark difference.

Yep Lance Morgan of Ho-Chunk had done a great job at Bago . The business and the School is muck better and cleaner. The town is no comparison Macy is really a dump .
