Instead of bashing our Qb's, o-line,receivers or d;line, I'd like to say I'm excited about the future of our young secondary. Everyone has seen that Westry is a future star and physical freak for a corner, but I'm equally excited about Edwards. He seems to have a nose for the ball and a sure tackler, also a future star imo. Still haven't seen enough of Baity, but he's 6'3" and obviously an upgrade over Quinn. West is the recruit I was most excited about in '14. Even after the injuries, I've heard several say he's a future nfl player. They are all playing significant minutes, if not starting and they are all freshmen. We have some good players RS this season and a couple more in '16 (hopefully). The future for this unit is bright. We might even start getting some coverage sacks.

I agree. I'm very excited about the future of our secondary. I think that's the first time I've ever said that

I agree wholeheartedly. Next year is when we start to shine.
I'm excited about a lot of things.

- Barker needs reps but he did some great things tonight. He's is YOUNG and needs time but will be a very, very good QB as he grows into it.
- Our receivers caught the ball tonight. Sounds trivial but I was impressed. Part of that credit goes to Barker for throwing catchable balls but they still had to catch it.
- Defense played well. Yes Charlotte is not very good but we did exactly what we should do. Tackling was a ton better tonight.
- Our RB's were lights out. They ran with a purpose tonight. Not sure what changed but they were together and seemed to enjoy each other's success which was I was very glad to see.

We have plenty wot work on, and yes I know that this was a piss poor team we played, but we did exactly what we were supposed to do against them and did it with very few mental errors. With that said you could see a noticeable difference between the two teams that wasn't there 3 years ago.

Remember the WKU game in Nashville? Things have changed. We definitely are starting to look like a SEC team. Now it's time to grow up and act like one.

The game UK had last night was what i expected to see against EKU.Of course EKU is a lot better than Charlotte ,but should not have given UK the game they did. That being said,it was good to see the Cats thump a team under very adverse conditions.Throw in the game experience that a lot of guys got that hardly ever see the field was satisfying.
Here's hoping there is a lot of carry over and the Cats come out with a lot of effort and enthusiasm for the UL game and give we fellowship of the miserable a game to get excited about.

Sort of a tangent, it is great to see AJ stamps flying around the field again. He's so fun to watch.

Hope he's being a good example for West. What to do, and not to do.

He didn't make the tackle on either play (way behind and bad angle) but I have seen Edwards make up a lot of ground on a couple of very fast running backs, looks like he is very fast to me.
