Still on........Will see if he can fix the locker room issues and motivate the team to give 110% these last games.

You can't go on huge losing streaks to end the season 5-7 two years in a row. 1 foot on, 1 off. Gotta get to a bowl.

That is pretty much where I am at this point in time. If they can Beat Vandy and take care of buisness vs Charlotte we become bowl eligible. The UL game the team will not feel as much pressure and might play relaxed. There is a chance they could go on a 3 game winning streak I am hoping.

But what we as fans see as feasible results, usually do not end up happening in football.

I should clarify. Stoops first class was 2013. His (4th) last class of commitments is 2016. So they aren't relevant yet. but the 2013, 2014, 2015 classes are on campus and in uniform. He has been excellent recruiting. But this was to be a year of improvement and I don't see it. In fact, Like last years Tennessee game, this team seems to be quitting. Saturday is huge. they lose to Vandy and they're staring at 5-7. At some point you have to have improvement on the field. Maybe I'm being unrealistic to expect improvement this year. Regardless, Stoops will have next year to prove his worth. I thought, with the schedule, this years team had 7-5 talent.
My main point is that Stoops doesn't seem to make game adjustments and seems unprepared. Hopefully he can rally the troops and win 2 of last 3 and carry that momentum into a Bowl. Saturday is HUGE!

Save this discussion for the END of the 2017 season. That gives the necessary 5 years it takes to consistently field a "middle of the pack" SEC team (7th -10th)...it takes TWICE that long to get into and stay among the top 6 SEC teams (but at least we'd be out of the BOTTOM 4).
Necessary to WHOM? Where did this magical '5 years' come from? Did somebody give Miss Cleo their credit card? Last I checked, the successful head coaches had far less than 5 years at their programs. Florida's new coach had ONE. Urban Meyer to OSU? ONE year. Les Miles? One year at LSU. The only time a great coach gets a 5 year 'pass' and losing seasons is maybe high school.

College football is a business. If you can't produce, hit the road. You don't get half a decade to make yourself look better. Maybe in the 60's. But not anymore. Great players stay a year or two. Few hang around for 5 years so a coach can gear up his resume. We spend too much on building the ship and not enough on a captain. THEN we hired a cabinboy and gave him the helm to learn to sail.

I am so far off the train, that I am on a submarine. We under-hired, and over-paid. We need a head coach. Not an apprentice.

Have never really been on it. He's coached about 30 games and can't really see many games in which he coached the team "up". Ky will never out recruit other teams in SEC, we need a coach who can COACH. Don't see it, but I hope I'm wrong.

Still on board for now. Win the next two games and we are headed for a bowl which would be indisputable progress over three seasons.

Indisputable by winning one more game than last season. You'd really go that far? If we don't win the next 3 then there's no way to say there's been progress made. The sec east is down this year. Auburn in the west who we played is down this year. Missouri is down this year. Georgia is down this year. Shouldn't the credit to an improved record be given to a way easier schedule than last year?

All aboard! Hahaha

Crazy, but that's how it goes
Millions of people living as foes
Maybe. it's not too late
To learn how to love, and forget how to hate

Mental wounds not healing
Life's a bitter shame
I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train
I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train

I've listened to preachers,
I've listened to fools
I've watched all the dropouts
Who make their own rules
One person conditioned to rule and control
The media sells it and you live the role

Mental wounds still screaming
Driving me insane
I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train
I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train

I know that things are going wrong for me
You gotta listen to my words, yeah, yeah

Heirs of a cold war,
that's what we've become
Inheriting troubles,
I'm mentally numb
Crazy, I just cannot bear
I'm living with something that just isn't fair

Mental wounds not healing
Who and what's to blame
I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train
I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train

I think Vandy wins Saturday. And I hate to say it but Louisville may lay the wood to the Cats. If that happens, and the CATS finish 5-7, then I think Stoops would have to make significant improvement (7-5, 8-4) in 2016-17 to keep his job.

We have won recruiting battles with big time programs with several of our recruits. I am disturbed to see lack of improvement in those players. I see offensive schemes not changing to fit our personnel. I see us getting picked apart on defense. Special team play is atrocious due to a lack of a dedicated coach.

If I had all the answers, I would be making the big bucks. However, I have a couple of suggestions. First, mix up running game by option pitch to our speed, Boom. Many of his best runs are when he has nothing in the middle and he bumps to the outside. Every team loads the middle against us. Accuracy is critical in our QB play. More of our drops by receivers are due to poorly thrown balls than bad hands or lack of concentration. We do have a highly rated backup and I would hate to see us flame out the last 4 games making same mistakes with the same QB. Secondly, I would come with blitz every time. You have to put pressure on QB. The DB'S cannot be expected to cover 5 or 6 seconds! We have some young stud secondary guys, let them their baptism with man coverage, with great pressure on QB. I believe with the 4 teams left, we could do this. Same ol' hasn't worked last 3 weeks and I don't see same ol' working rest of our games. Go Cats!

Considering he hasn't finished his third year, I think the direction of the program won't be known until the season is completed. If they go 5-7, the pressure is on next year. If they win out, I remain optimistic. If it is 6-6 and they have good recruiting class, I still think he deserves our patience.

Thanks to Barnhart Joker left the program in shambles. He left a big hill to climb
and it will be slow.

Great players stay at least 3years. They are no eligible for the NFL until after their 3rd year
