Baylor and Kansas have combined 14 road wins...

The rest of the 8 Big 12 teams have a combined 8 road wins.

WVU and Texas Tech are two teams that could be tough outs in the tournament.
Both play defense but WVU is thin in the Backcourt while Tech is thin up front.

Higher chance that one or both make the Sweet 16 IMO than either or both Kansas and Baylor not making the Sweet 16.

So WVU and Texas Tech are closer to the level of Texas, Oklahoma, and KSU than Kansas and Baylor? Given that the records of the middle Big 12 teams are so close to one another while KU and Baylor only lost to one another.

More like there are 2 teams and the little 8.

Pretty much. I was hoping that WVU could at least carve out a tier between the 2 elite Big 12 teams and the middle of the pack. Currently looks like KU and Baylor clearly top tier. WVU, TTU, Texas, and OU holding the middle. KSU, ISU, TCU, and OSU at the bottom.

Seems about right. Plus the teams in the middle have lost to the teams in the bottom half.

WVU - KSU, TCU
Texas - ISU
Oklahoma - KSU, Oklahoma State
Texas Tech - TCU, Oklahoma State
