The Phillies Phanatic made his debut.

The Phillies aren't my team, however, imo the Phanatic and the San Diego Chicken are the two best professional team mascots of all time.
The Nittany Lion is, of course, #1 overall in our hearts and minds, pro and college, forever and ever, amen. I'm saying that with some homer humor, but I truly believe that the Nittany Lion is the best of all I have seen at the college level. The Phanatic and the Chicken have a bigger budget and more toys to play with, but our Lion can bring it.
