Going to assume Brown was hurt again, since he didn't play. Was in uniform, though, so hopefully it is not serious.

It looked like Gaines got his minutes and probably played his best game of the season.

I don't think so. Gaines gets minutes independently of Brown, who usually backs up Ash. Something was up with Brown, or with Brown/CCC last night.
