Because it’s MSU week
.

Sit back with a beverage and listen to this guy orchetrate his anger like a maestro.

I actually listen to Valenti’s show a lot precisely because of this. He’s generally a pretty good sports-talk personality. Knows his stuff.

That being said, he doesn’t like JF, and he said MSU has a chance to beat PSU this week because, “Penn State isn’t good.”

When co-host, Rico, said this week that he considers the Nittany Lions to be the #10 team in the country, Valenti countered with, “Who’d they beat for their signature win this season? Who did they beat that was good? Nobody. Their big win was over Auburn, a team that fired their coach.”

Ouch! But… a valid point.

So yeah, our 10-2 season looks good on paper, and not-so-good under a magnifying glass. We lost the only two tough games we had, and we lost pretty badly both times. That being said, Valenti is nuts giving MSU any reasonable shot to win Saturday’s game.

MSU’s defense is nonexistent. If Indiana can hang 39 points on you while completing ONE pass in regulation…? You suck. It’s that simple.

Both Kaytron and Nick are going to go over 100 yards on Saturday, and the score is going to be similar to last week’s @Rutgers.

Foster laughing in the background is the unsung hero of this rant.

That’s too funny. He totally lost it. The sad part is that a lot of what he was complaining about MSU could also apply to PSU over the years but his absolute meltdown was hilarious.

Never heard of him before but the next time MSU implodes and loses, I’ll have to try and tune in (hopefully Monday ;)).

This was from the ‘06 season. They did a segment on the show in 2016 discussing the legacy of this rant ten years later, and they even managed to get a pre-recorded interview with John L. Smith who offered up some thoughts on it.

Here’s the “ten years later” segment:

I can’t argue with valenti’s assessment of Penn State except to say, look at what they’ve done against the nobodies. Well, guess what? msu is a nobody. Penn State should win big.

Well, somehow our SOS is ranked 8th in the country right now. Not sure the BIG 2 got us there by themselves.

PSU beat Indiana. MSU lost to Indiana. After holding a double digit lead. .

Not sure what else needs to be said.
