It is being reported that he is a very devout Muslim by the Washington Times. CAIR is going to have a news conference with one of his relatives.

2003 US high school graduate. His dad turned him in. The female was not his wife, but he had a wife. His sister thought the press were crazy thinking it was him.

If this is what is radicalized now in the US, who isn't a potentially radicalized Muslim in the US now?

How does that jive with what appears to be a targeted attack...did someone in that group know something about this guy if he was indeed some sort of lone wolf?

Not a lone wolf from some reports. Neighbor reports that several Islamic men had moved in in the last 3-4 weeks, and had been working in the garage all night long.

I heard that...but the attack seemed to be very focused on that group of people.

None of this is adding up completely, and patx is stating that as well. A terrorist with a grudge against an individual or group? Doesn't add up yet.

I have no idea what the hell you're talking about. There was nothing remotely political about what I posted. By the way there is an ignore option and I suggest you use it.

Kinda like those politicians (Clinton, Obama, O'Malley) crying for gun control before we even know the facts of what happened?

I agree that this board has been much more circumspect. If Anyone has jumped to conclusion it is been the three you mentioned.

Things are quite peaceful here tonight DvlDog4WVU...I would expect a more tolerant response from you...I like 'Murica' quite a bit...I LOVE it here and feel no need to convince otherwise...and I also feel for the families and victims of the senseless attack...

Lol...the weak minded here have been worried about that for over 50 yeard...yet nothing has happened...well there was a separatist terrorist attack in the 60's . Maybe they were Muslims then too?....we placate them with some money every so often and they shut up for another few years....

You may be surprised to learn that this is a message board where people post on topics that interest them. And I think every poster on this board has an agenda. That agenda is called an opinion. No one was spewing politics on the subject until you posted.

I get the picture from your consistent headlines that you don't particularly like Muslims, and that is fine if so...to each their own...I work and have friendships with several...fine people all of them...or should I distance myself in your opinion?

You could not be more wrong. I only have a problem with radical Islamists. My wife is half Lebanese and half Syrian. Muslims that I know are kind, generous and very thoughtful people. Their values are very traditional American values, Love of God and family. Belief in hard work and fiscal discipline. And if indeed you know Muslims, you know they hate radical Islamists as well.

Is this an example of "complete bafflegab" ? Someone points out facts reported by media outlets and get libeled over it.

And as you say I am wrong then I apologize. ..and yes the Muslims I know do hate radical Islamist terrorism. ...on a side note then your wife and perhaps yourself will be happy to know we are taking in 25,000 refugees from Syria by Jan/Feb (which is a large number for a population our size), our town actually sponsoring one of the families and hopefully more in the future...

I suggest you ignore the idiot. He is probably a closet bigot, most likely can't handle the fact that half of Toronto's population was born outside of Canada. I did a lot of business in Canada and Toronto and there are a lot of closet bigots up that way.

I was actually engaged in Toronto. What a great city. Although my favorite Canadian city is still Vancouver.

Maybe the term "closet" was but my interactions with many of the non immigrants showed how they really felt. That was in Toronto and was during business visits. I have vacationed a lot in many different areas of Canada and never noticed anything like what I saw in Toronto. By the way I really like Canada.

While there certainly is an element of the population here that feels the way you describe, I find It to be the minority. ...what seems a bit more prevalent to me is some (still I think a minority) feeling we have given too much accommodation to newcomers keeping their customs/culture or perhaps trying to change laws and traditions that have been here for decades....I can remember when in grade school teachers explaining the small cultural differences between the US ( a 'melting pot') and Canada (a 'mosaic')...I think this difference still holds true but maybe some here would prefer the US model now? Not sure if you agree with this assessment on my end or not...

Very happy to hear you enjoy your time here when visiting! Your dollar will go alot further here now as well (as of today a Greenback gets 1.36 Cdn I believe), I get the reverse conversion tomorrow when I head to LA and SanFran on vacation lol...seeing as I'm in the States quite a bit I'm feeling the pinch on my wallet the last year or 2, especially on my EERS season tix...
I imagine I may encounter a city a bit on edge this wknd, but still friendly and not giving in to those that want to disrupt our day to day lives...I suppose vigilance is key nowadays. ...see something...say something. ...
