After watching UCF a few times this year, I better get used to and like the bubble screen. Laughing
Yup. And throwing in the red zone when the running game was doing just fine. Why do I get the feeling that all of the sudden those things will now be "amazing and brilliant" coaching. Hahahaa

6 first half carries for a running back in their quick-hitting offense. We know that won't fly here.

Sir...you are a 'internet football hack' commenting on a college football coach who just went undefeated for a PERFECT season....

...and yet all you can do is be bitter... Divisive and and antagonistic....regarding Scott Frost.

What is your real issue? Do you even know? I hope your life gets better soon because your showing real signs of a mental health problem.

IMHO

Best.

They have the number one scoring offense in the country, we will be busy fine. Now stop this stupid trolling, there is no point in it.
Against the 66th rated schedule, doing things that everyone bitched about not ever working here. Can you really not understand that? Maybe Scott gets it to work, but to not acknowledge these things is extremely lame.

There are no issues, you are tying to make issues to argue about. You are simply a troll, who brings no knowledge or insight to the board.

Be ready for the OL weight loss program. SF made that job one, on day one as he had to transition fro the O'Leary Pro style power O, to everyone moving fast, and the goal of snapping the ball every 21 seconds. The culture on the team will change like nothing else you have experienced.
Music to my ears.

We need to be able to move guys on the line. It won't be as easy to simply run around B1G defenses.

My oldest brother was a center in high school and they ran the QB sneak for 10 yards every time they ran it...

He told me yesterday how excited he is for Frost and how he can't wait to get back to having the big offensive lineman that are 6'5 and 300 pounds! Sometimes I don't claim him...

I believe you may be suffering from a Silent Stroke....

  • Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding.
  • Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes.
  • Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination.
  • Sudden, severe headache with no known cause.
Are you having any other of the symptoms listed?

If so call 911.

Stay away from computer keyboards and save yourself further embarrassment.

Running bubble in a pro style passing attack with very simple and inconsistent run game threat is MUCH different that running bubble from a spread run pass option threat offense with a very solid run game. If you watch UCF closely, they will hold defenders with bubble fakes when they are running the ball- they put defenses in a bind with it AND they run other pass concepts off the bubble look. Bubble in the pro style offense and running bubble in Frosts offense including using it as a contraint play- is brilliant. A "play" that both offenses run, one as a one trick pony that is easy to defend. The other as part of a multi pronged attack that really puts you in a bind and makes you wrong no matter how you defend it. That is why one offense- Rileys didnt do very well and why Frosts led the country on scoring

Its about making BIG holes. Watch the video tutorial, would be my suggestion.
The hardest part about this offense as a fan is that it relies on misdirection frequently-- sometimes even going the opposite direction of your blockers to cause confusion. If that doesn't work, the plays go no where or you take a loss. People who don't understand the offense will complain about it non stop in the stands.

We need to get past that nonsense. So sick of we need to do it this certain way. Like if you don’t just run into a brick wall all day, you aren’t doing it the right way. We need to embrace what this offense is and what we are trying to be. SF team just went undefeated and led the nation in scoring and we already have an idiot whining because he didn’t do it the “right” way. Ridiculous

So basically nothing will change in that department

This is true
Frost will not allow DCs to scheme him to death. He has key breakers for everything. Follow the pullers? Nope, they will run a play naked behind it with a back lead blocking. Oregon was often times in the top 20 in negative yardage plays on offense- not because of sacks, but because of run plays tackled in the backfield. You cant overload or sell out to stop this offense- Frost sees the field like TO- that's why unlike most HCs today, Scott calls his own plays. Remember- TO said in an interview in the last 5 years that if he was coaching today he would be running spread option. This RUPO stuff is double option stuff TO ran ( they never ever ran a true triple) , with another possible option tacked on- on steroids and Frost is the genius behind the curtain.

What people forget is the offense Tom used asked for smaller lineman that can move. Scotts offense is very similar in that regard.

I truly hope so. Save for a few players I can count on one hand. This team IS LAZY!!

Go ahead and hate me but I’m totally ok with starting 2nd and 3rd stringers that that may not have the raw talent but give 110% every play over a starter that thinks they are entitled and don’t have to put in the work!

Even if we have another losing season but get rid of the fat and bad attitudes I’m ok with that. I hope it doesn’t come to that but if that is what it takes to build a culture from the ground up so be it. The laziness and inept play has gone on for too long!

"Because we announced the play, we have more negative plays losing yardage than anyone else."

That part will make Nebraska fans mad.
VERY true
Fishduck is a good place to start
At the end of the day- we ran inside and outside zone for the last 10 years. We have to be better fundamentally than we are today. Those 2 scehemes will still be a big part of this offense.

The dealio is this O vs what we run now, lots different backfield action and multiple run AND pass threats off that play- including QB run and even speed like option- sometimes all 3- zone run to RB, keep to QB, pitch to RB/Slot or even a pass option- bubble or bubble variation concept (bubble/wheel or bubble stalk and go) to the pitch side

However SF has added LOTS of RUPOs and twists
They even run the zone read backwards- sweep to RB- inside zone to the QB
Frost has solved a lot of the issues they faced at Oregon
He continues to innovate

Only those fans who don't understand D line overreaction and the subsequent huge holes it produces. The loss if yardage is the by product of and in essences is mandatory, in the Frost spread. When you see the swarming....smile.....

Went back and watched POB and TG high school highlights. I had forgotten how well POB ran the ball. Reminded me a bit of Scott Frost. It will be interesting to see who wins the QB job. POB and TG or do we recruit a Clemson type? Can’t wait. TL might as well go pro or transfer now. His skills don’t fit.

And it would have been lower if they had faced a Riley led Nebraska.

Lol of course u need to be able to move guys on the line. That goes without saying. I'm not sure what your point is. We couldn't move guys with big out of shape guys the last 3 years.

You do realize that different offensive systems require different types of training and skills right? You don't think Wisconsins OL and Georgia Techs OL train the same do you? UCF and our future OL will train to a scheme. Just as Navy or Georgia Tech, or Wiscy ,or Washington St does.

We need to move the line is the ultimate "duh" quote. Seriously...where do some of these guys come from.
