Japanese superstar wrestler Masanosuke Ono commits to Penn State
Penn State is adding U20 World Champion Masanosuke Ono to its roster. He committed to the Nittany Lions on Monday.
"Ono notched three tech falls and one decision victory on his way to the world championship, including a 7-2 victory over top-ranked Penn State commit Marcus Blaze."
Good lord those two will be waging some serious wars in the room!

A couple weeks ago a poster here said Ono to PSU was on the horizon. Some ridiculed him saying there was no way it would happen. Too much involved in it, they said. To whoever it was that made the post, thanks for the info.

Heard on a PSU podcast Ono has 4 years of eligibility. Is that accurate ?
Not sure that the 2 years is set in stone, although that is the likely scenario. I am not giving up on 4 years until I see it officially in writing.

Totally respectfully, I personally don't give a shizzle. Recruiting is part of the game. I'm sure they recruited Bo Bassett. He didn't just altruistically decide to go to Iowa.

Recruiting talent is the #1 job of anyone in a position of leadership. For as much heat as Franklin takes, his final rankings generally align nearly lock step with his recruiting rankings. The Blue Chip Index is accurate for a reason.
I don't now what the hub bub is. PSU did nothing illegal or morally wrong. The only thing you could point to is recruiting over other kids. It happens in every other sport at a much larger scale because not everyone pans out and they also have bigger budgets...school or NIL wise. It's just the current world we live in.
Who is to say that Davis doesn't tilt him for a tech fall from the top position to win the spot. Ever weight class is open, no starting spots guaranteed.
