This team has some ballers on it, many or most being underclassmen, with more we havent even seen yet.

There is a lot to look forward to, but there are many gaping holes right now also, particularly the obvious OL and most defensive positions. I think defense will continue to improve but we need more talent there no question.
I’m optimistic about the secondary, but it’s hard to rely on youth for the defensive front seven turnaround.
OL could also be longer project than we’d like.

The point is patience is key but I’m seeing a seed planted that is gonna sprout eventually.

And hobbies other than football. Just let the kids play. No need to hammer them with the obvious. Have some fun and enjoy the Fall!

I’ve posted before but I’m not giving up on this season and absolutely don’t wanna see players give up.
They need to battle every game and they can win some. Cleaning up mental errors should be expected in the second half of the season.

No quitters allowed.

*and cheers to the hobbies

100% excited and faith in Frost. To me this year is a demolition year. We’re putting together a team of players that will set the tone for the future. I believe we turned the corner and now it’s yome to start winning some games. The wins begin in Evanston next week.

Agreed there brotha. Sucks bad that this year is as bad as it is but I’m seeing plenty to like for next year to 3 years. I told the Girlfriend that much last night after we lost to the Badgers. Sucks to lose but by the time M Washington and Martinez are juniors and seniors, our Huskers will be very good, Are offense will be scary good. The defense is the only thing I’m not sure about.

Those two are FR and Speilman is still a SO. Get the OL together and the O could be special.

I can only imagine how scary our offense will be when JD Spielman is a senior and Martinez and Washington are juniors!?!? We still have a very talented A Hunt coming along and potentially Miles too. Our oline will get better. We got the bad luck of a few bad classes showing this year on the oline but that will pass and improve. Mark it down. ;)

I really think a season like this is what we need to get rid of the junk as this is character building season, so what if we don't go to a bowl game this year as we are rebuilding from the ground up. This season will build Character, Integrity and Fortitude as well as a culture of playing for one another and building unity among the team along with team wide player accountability. You have to be mentally tough before you can be physically tough. A shock to the system is what is needed here as the wins will eventually come and in droves. We are rebuilding a championship culture here again and will take a bit of time. We've gotten back the best S&C and nutrition programs in the country in Duval and Ellis. Bet no one here know's that the Duval family owns the rights to Husker Power and back in the mid 90's it was Zach and Boyd Eppley that developed it into the program. I was created by Zach's Dad, himself and his older brother Gibby

Lots of youth to like for future
of the defense:
Cam Taylor, Cam Jones, CJ Smith, Braxton Clark... freshmen DBs could turn that room around with Deontai Williams improving.
Caleb Tannor, and hopefully Breon Dixon, Guy Thomas panning out hopefully adds speed and Tyrin Ferguson Mo Barry both got another year left.
Damion Daniels could grow up in 10 months, need another DT to move forward- Tony Fair???
I wanna see what Stille, D Twins, D Thomas, T. Wildeman can accomplish also with another 10 months of growth.

Quick wildcard factor: Whether contributing on field or not I think Garrett Nelson is gonna make the entire defense better with his energy and passion. Give me G Nelson over D Young any day.

Add in N Henrichs to that. Our defense is going to improve a lot over the next few years. Like you said, DBs are an issue now but won’t be in a year or two from now. This Husker team will look light years better over the next few season.

I remember reading about that shortly after the staff hires were announced. Shutter to think what things would look like IF there was no changes in the s&c program. Still be 0-5 but uglier

When Frosty gets this rolling, which I firmly believe he will, there will be some unmerciless *** whippings and zero chance of taking a knee. I’m talking up by 30 chucking it down field. It sucks and hurts like hell to watch this year but I believe it’s coming and will pitch a tent watching N stomp mud holes in Wisconsin and Michigan, among others.
