Gebbia having a bad game so far. 0-4 passing. Lightbourn batted down a very high snap and got a decent punt off on the run.

Just tuned in to it and he marched them right down the field. He looked very good on that drive.

Gebbia passed for more than 300 yards, but I would not say he looked outstanding. Why did Scott choose Martinez over Gebbia? Was it athleticism? Gebbia looks to me to be a more natural passer than Martinez.

Gebbia was recruited for Riley's pro style offense and not considered by Frost to be a dual threat QB.

For a true Freshman, Martinez looked Like the next big thing. He looked very good vs Colorado. And then when his knee healed there was a lot to be excited about.

But then Frost/Verduzco came in to play coupled with our disaster of a WR group. No doubt Luke and Smothers will be ruined just like Martinez was.

Thought Gebbia looked terrible early, then settled in and had a pretty solid game. Have to remember it was his first college start, even thought it seems like he's been around forever.

Off the subject, but many of my Coug friends are glad the Pirate has left Pullman. The ones who really following football loved what he did for the school, but had grown tired of his style of coaching. It remains to be seen how well his replacement does.

WSU looked pretty good, though they definitely took their foot off the gas too early and made the game more interesting than it should have been.
