Oh man…tale of two halves so far. Whew what a save.
Was thinking the defense looked better than I remember in the past but was wondering if that’s just because we weren’t being pressured. Now Wales is pushing forward and defense not looking as good.

It’s because Wales was sitting back and trying to bait the young US players into over committing. This is what I meant when I said our quality was poor in the first half. Even when not pressured, our players‘ touches were pretty sloppy, and our movement was sluggish.
Now that they’re under more pressure, those flaws are much more visible. The US has played much better, but aren’t today, so far at least.
Ream has played really well, but this is the game he was brought in for. He has so much experience playing teams who play the offensive style Wales does.
These subs are late and should have been done one at a time, eating as much clock as possible. This is some poor coaching.
I think to get all 5 you have to do it in 3 waves. Could be wrong it is a post covid rule
Let’s see if this lights a fire under the US players. We are a better team when we’re attacking aggressively. If we sit back and play for a tie, we will lose.

Not a fan of Yedlin. Basically walked the ball out on one play & just blasted out another to touch when he might've done more, allowing more pressure.

I believe that ball was out of bounds in the corner before the corner.
it appeared that the trajectory of the ball curved back in.
We have no excuse but these refs were not ready for this game.
No OT, there is added time after the 90 for stoppages delays etc.

9 minutes of stoppage time and if it's tied after that it's a tie - no "overtime" or "extra time" though.
There’s some additional minutes added for injuries and stoppage. But it’s not an extra period.
They just said it’s 9mins.
After that 9 mins if it’s still tied, it’s a draw and both teams get 1pt
