Would not want to be GB having to determine the subs right now. Really tough call based on what I’m seeing on the field. Lot of US players now looking tired.

Yea, you can see the tide turning a little and more possession by England and pressuring the US more.

First thing that goes is decision making, it gets lazy, long balls instead of lots of short passes. Next thing is individual skill, you start losing one v one’s and 50/50 balls. We‘re beyond that point now. Gonna be hard going from here on out.

Wasn’t Zimmerman’ s fault as much as whomever passed it to him when he was under pressure in that position. Bad job by the analysis guy.

This was a good point brought up earlier in the thread. If Iran plays a bunker style against us, how good a chance do we have to break it and get goals for a win.

Beat Iran and US should be in based on point differential, even if Wales upsets England.

I think most people would have just one point after two matches (tie to Wales, Loss to Engerland). So having two is definitely a bonus. Loved how the USA played today, but Iran looks formidable, too. Tuesday's match will be huge. Can't wait.

Answering my own question lol, I figure it will be on the back of a corner/free kick that we have the best opportunity to break any sort of Iranian bunker mentality. I'm not sure we have the quality to finish in that much traffic otherwise.

fun watch.... QUESTION for soccer players... on a late ENG free kick... the US and ENG lined up just outside the box.. except for one ENG player on the far side who was slightly inside the box.

Why was that NOT an offsides as soon as the ball was kicked? Was it because it was "shot"?

And, if that was why, why didn't the ENG players just go to the 6-yard box to line up?

Iran can't bunker for 90 minutes, as they don't know that a draw will be good enough for them. If Wales beats England, it won't be.

I didn't think I'd say it but I'm actually disappointed we didn't beat England. Beat Iran and we're in, we know what to do and I'm confident our guys will get it done
